X-Metaman
DARK/Fiend ATK 3000/ DEF 2500 Rank 8: 3 Level 8 Monster. {Cannot be destroyed by battle except with "Number" monsters.} When this card is Xyz Summoned: You can send 1 monster from your opponent's Extra Deck to the Graveyard. Once per turn: You can attach 1 "Number" monster in your opponent's Graveyard to this card as Xyz Material. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy that target, and if it was a Monster Card, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monster's ATK. Well is a Rank 8 Volcasaurus.. Discuss.
~British Soul~
I'll just re-convey my thoughts on the card As you ninja'd me. - I bet they'll add a "this card cannot attack the turn you use this effect clause" after using its destruction eff - I also think the first clause won't exist IRL either - The name wasn't what I was expeting tbh. Maeriberii Haan
A better 3 mat rank 8 compared to Leo. Still not really worth the summoning effort though, since Heliopolis/Felgrand/Giant Grinder. I hope this gets buffed.
Sunshine Jesse
I was expecting something that seemed more uh... "important" for Number 1. I didn't watch the actual episode yet though so maybe there's some PLOT I'm missing.
evilfusion
I looked at this card AFTER looking at Infection Fly. I totally saw the combo to make a Rank 8. Did not expect Number 1 to be a Rank 8, though. So...Number 1 and Number 8 completely and utterly defy the other 0X Numbers' convention of having their Number = Rank. Take a closer look at this, though. Those effects are just plain evil. It's a card that is almost ideal for hunting Numbers. First, when it's Xyz Summoned, you can send an opponent's Extra Deck monster to the Graveyard. And so long as they have a Number in their Graveyard, you have essentially infinite Xyz Material for this card. Its next effect is to detach a Material to destroy ANY card, and burn the opponent if you destroyed a monster. Then, it has 3000 ATK backing it up, and no restriction on attacking. Your opponent doesn't need to do anything for this card to be OP. If they have Numbers, they're screwed.
Lonk
...how in the fornication does this relate to the number "1"? Like, what I see here is an evil idol that causes infestations of plagues. Like, fornication, it really goes against the purpose of the number 1. It isn't even the best Number (It is good, but not the best).

Lonk
I have no idea, but I know that Yuma will give this to Kaito as a sign of their Friendship after he defeats Heartland.

Like, what I see here is an evil idol that causes infestations of plagues. Like, fornication, it really goes against the purpose of the number 1. It isn't even the best Number (It is good, but not the best). I decided to just randomly google numerology and the meaning of the number 1, just because of how you phrased the question. Here's a notable statement, one of many: "The 1 is a doer. A powerful force that does not allow anything or anyone to limit its potential". Number 1 is a card that does not rely on the opponent's actions. It takes initiative by immediately sending a monster from the opponent's Extra Deck. Xyz Monsters and their effects are normally limited by their Xyz Materials, but Number 1 absorbs a "Number" from the opponent's Graveyard once per turn as an Xyz Material. It can then use that stolen Material for its effect. Finite Xyz Material is not an issue with Number 1.
Maeriberii Haan
Now I can see how this card is really evil. I hope this card gets released without much nerfs.
goddamnit names are a pain
The card seems awesome. Truly fitting for Number 1. Combo with Number Wall and your opponent is toast. XD
Toffee.
ITT:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RS7mk-UtdjQOn-Topic: I like how it can nom on other Numbers, so it at least shows some relevance to it's Number actually deciding how powerful it is, which is a rather rare instance for Numbers. Regardless, it's pretty cool.
More than 3 characters
As far as anime plot goes, this thing is just asking to be defeated by Hope Roots. I foresee the duel going something like Baal Zebul steals Numbers from Yuma -> Baal Zebul attaches Numbers as overlay units -> Yuma summons Hope Roots -> Activates Hope Roots' effect, which in the anime gains ATK from the enemy Xyz Monster's Rank and then multiplies it by their overlay units -> Hope Roots attacks for game.I wonder if the official release of this card will keep the effect of attaching Numbers from the opponent's grave. They could technically either remove it (nerf) or make it so that it attaches any Xyz (buffing it by making it less situational) in addition to keeping it the same. Other thing is that the anime effect of Baal Zebul can destroy any card, not just monsters, although it only burns for monsters - which is another thing they could potentially change, although that would make this less unique (although Konami doesn't really have the best track record in preserving the uniqueness of anime and manga Numbers' effects when released). Wildflame
Well, I do like the name and artwork. The effect has potential too. Not a bad use of Number 1 imo.
evilfusion
Considering it's a Rank 8 with 3 Materials, I don't think a major nerf will be needed for this. I expect something like it not being able to attack the turn it used the effect, or something like that.
Premier Alexander Romanov
I just realized that Archfiends finally have an Xyz they can get out with First Lord. Wait...Number 1...First Lord... OwO My mind is blown. Anyways, a powerful card that could be used to deprive an opponent of their ace Xyz, if you know what they have. Plus, it sort of defies the conventions of Xyzs having a limited number of Xyz Materials by continuously recycling materials for its destruction, which I like for the high price. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Hmm. Wonder why it's called Baal and not Beelzebub, considering the latter is related to insects and the former is mostly related to cats, frogs, or bulls. Blake
Hmm. Wonder why it's called Baal and not Beelzebub, considering the latter is related to insects and the former is mostly related to cats, frogs, or bulls. Baalzevuv is the Hebrew name for Beelzebub, literally meaning Lord of the Flies. Baal just means lord. Zebul has a more general application, but it's mostly a Hebrew/biblical term as well, and it's the term used in the animanga Beelzebub to describe its namesake's powers in many cases, though unsure of why still. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Baal (Ba'al) is also the name of a demon, though I guess I should have looked up other stuff as well first.
Blake
Baal (Ba'al) is also the name of a demon, though I guess I should have looked up other stuff as well first.
Ba'al is the name of assorted small-time false gods from the old testament, namely around the the books of Joshua and Judges. The name/title was later reused in the Dictionnaire Infernal for the demon you mentioned, though that one can also be written Bael and other similar spellings, making a sound similar to Bale than Ball. Baal is still a general honorific for lord/master, as well.
