CNo.101 S.H. Death Knight
Mobius the Mega Monarch Water Aqua / Effect Level 8 2800/1000 You can Tribute Summon this card by Tributing 1 Tribute Summoned monster. When this card is Tribute Summoned: Target up to 3 Spell/Trap Cards; destroy those targets. If this card was Tributed Summoned by Tributing an WATER monster, add this additional effect. ● Your opponent cannot activate the targeted cards in respons to this effect’s activation. Will of the Monarchs Trap Normal If you have no cards in your Extra Deck: Target 1 face-up Tribute Summoned monster you control; negate that monster’s effects, also it becomes unaffected by card effects other than this card’s. Whoever said that it will destroy 3 S/T is right on the money but adding the touch of preventing activation seem nice if it ever happen.

Maeriberii Haan
MEGA EVOLUTION! *henshin pose* Effect is neat though, and the trap is crazy.
evilfusion
Oh my god. Seriously, that's awesome. Not only can it destroy up to 3 S/Ts, but if you use WATER monsters, they can't use those cards in response? That's ridiculous, especially since WATER has some of the most reliable Tribute fodder production in the game, with crazy things like Mermails, Frogs, etc. The Trap card is prettty cool, but Monarchs still want Extra Deck options most of the time, so requiring you to either have eaten through your entire Extra Deck, or outright NOT USE ONE is a little meh. But all the support cards for Monarchs lately have been advocating that you can't use your Extra Deck, so maybe that's an acceptable approach to take. CNo.101 S.H. Death Knight
it seem they going of a pattern 1 mega monarch and 1 monarch S/T each set. I feel a s/t with the effect to tribute summon twice in a turn approaching...

Maeriberii Haan
Damn, just realized that you can target more than monarchs with the trap effect.
Trebuchet MS
Damn, just realized that you can target more than monarchs with the trap effect. Triple-tribute-summon Gilford the Lightning, Raigeki the opponent's monsters, ensure a clean hit with Will of the Monarchs. Use in Steelswarm Decks to ensure a clean hit after you Tribute Summon their larger monsters with on-Summon effects. And so on.
evilfusion
And yet...you must have no cards in your Extra Deck.
Maeriberii Haan
Which made this sub-par at best in Steelswarms. There's must be a deck that can use it other than monarchs..
~British Soul~
*looks at art* I think Mobius will look nice as the Ghost Rare for LVAL in the TCG imo. (As I recall reading that Mega Mobius will be the ghost rare)
Azuh
I dont know really, I still like to have an extra deck to bluff out an opponent even if I never use it. It feels more like a safety net and that's why I dont like the trap. Mobius on the other hand is deadly
newhat
It would be worth it to go Totem Dragon into Blue-Eyes and make it invincible the whole game. Mega Mobius seems really good in Frogs.
Toffee.
Mega Mobius just looks flat-out ridiculous. Will is silly, though.
Blake
Thing to note: Granmarg has dragonic looking horns made of earth. Mobius has horns that pretty blatantly come from Tidal. His armor and ice spikes' look further support that it has a link to Tidal. It's pretty safe to say the Monarchs and Dragon Rulers are linked. Miror B
Called the part about varied second effects. Just saying. Glad it's second effect isn't anything extra advantage wise. I was worried about it being like granmarg and drawing a card for +4 (b honest, tributing in frogs isnt a -)

I was just sayign a link is extremely likely in some fashion.EARTHs are pretty consistent at spamming the field. What does Redox do? Revives a monster; Proceed to Tribute it for GranmargWATERs, now-a-days, have Graveyard shenanigans going for them(Mermails, Frogs, and that new Tribute guy); What does Tidal do? Mills one of those, for it to revive itself later; Tribute it for Mobius.Nope. I'm totally not paranoid at all.
Maeriberii Haan
I bet next set is Thestalos that'll discard 2, burn and burn some more.
玄魔の王
I bet next set is Thestalos that'll discard 2, burn and burn some more. Following that pattern, Raiza is gonna be crazy, one of the few cards that would set the opponent back 2 turns. Guess this means Zaborg and Caius aren't gonna receive upgrades though. Guess this means Zaborg and Caius aren't gonna receive upgrades though. That sucks then. I was looking forward a Zaborg upgrade though I can see how this is true; they could do the same release order of the old monarchs thereby releasing Zaborg upgrade first like it was the first one in Ancient Sanctuary. 玄魔の王
As for Mobius himself, even doing a double-Tribute isn't a big deal for Frogs, but even if they're not a Monarch build they have cane Sea Lancer on board for all 3 effects. Plus the whole "screw Bottomless and TT factor".
Alastar Rainford
Makes me wanna run monarchs again...but it seams unlike their downgraded versions, you must be focused only on 1 mega monarch...
goodandwickeddeity
I made an account to reply to this thread. I just want to point out that there is another card that is support Monarchs that is coming out. Advance Devoter Water / Warrior / Level 3 800 atk 2000 def Cannot be Special Summoned, except by its own effect. During your next Standby Phase after this card was Tributed for a Tribute Summon, if this card is in your Graveyard: You can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. You cannot Special Summon monsters from your Extra Deck the turn you activate this effect. Being water, it can be splashed into Frog decks with a bit of consistency and it will let Mega Mobius get his effect on him. Of course, it stops special summons from the extra deck, but that is not a big deal if anyone is running a true monarch variant with any of the other new supports.
