Swords of Revealing Light

Recommended Posts

Every so often a new player uses this on me. Most of them just use the card to try and set up unmolested, but while they're playing defensively I build up cards as well. Unless you're an OTK deck against a control deck, there is no reason to blow up swords over other back row; just take 3 turns to accumulate resources.

Crazy awsome in PAWMAN. Your opponent usually doesn't want to MST this when they have a couple of Wave-Motion Cannons staring at him.

Actually, I'd rather hit swords and try for an OTK if I'm facing 2-3 wave motions.

Swords is a really good bait card for protecting other resources, but in a deck not made with stalling in mind, there are quite often far better resources to choose from.

It's only really good against players/Decks that are noobish and you want to be running cards at at least a similar level to not overwhelm them. In other words, if you're consciously playing with a handicap on your card pool.

The three turns you're planning your strategy, the opponent is doing the same thing.

The card is a pretty solid one.

Though the top decks always have easily accessible removal in abundance so this card is pretty much not worth using over there.

It has moved to be more of a casual fun card.

I personally use it in several decks at those underdog levels of play and it's served me well.

Even at those levels it's a little bit unreliable, so you use it when the resources are small so you'll have a better chance of getting it to stay.

It's still not worthy of list attention.
