~British Soul~
Fiend/Effect When you take battle damage: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, end the Battle Phase. Why would I run this over Gorz... or even Battle Fader? Owait it's a card from the anime. Discuss?
Maeriberii Haan
Worse Fader. Anime, Y U so creative?
newhat
1: In case you would take lethal damage from a series of non-direct attacks. 2: In case your opponent is waiting with a Spell Speed 2 card that can stop Fader (i.e. Vanity's Emptiness), this will activate in the Damage Step and prevent it. Doesn't make it good though.
Sleepy
There's also that you can drop it while having monsters on the field, unlike Battle Fader, so if you like swarming, you don't have to worry waiting until the field is cleared to drop it. Of course, I don't know how much that counts for. If you had 1 monster only, there's little difference.
Slinky
Uh.. Vanity's Emptiness cant ACTIVATE in the damage step. It can APPLY during the damage step if it was previously activated however.
Wildflame
Uh.. Vanity's Emptiness cant ACTIVATE in the damage step. It can APPLY during the damage step if it was previously activated however. The thing is, if you try to drop Fader, they can activate Emptiness to stop it. Not the case with this, since it works during the Damage Step.
Toffee.
The thing is, if you try to drop Fader, they can activate Emptiness to stop it. Not the case with this, since it works during the Damage Step. But the thing is- This is still a more situational and risky version of Fader. The only real advantages this has over Fader, is the fact it can be recycled with stuff like Recurring Nightmare(Since, you know, Fader Banishes itself). But why would that, be THAT much of a deciding factor?
Darj
Sleepy already mentioned the card's main advantage: You can drop it even while you control monsters, unlike Fader who only works on direct attacks. The card could be useful when you control 2+ monsters and you want to save at least 1 for a Tribute/Synchro/Xyz Summon during your next turn, as this can end the Battle Phase right after one of them is killed. I'm not sure if running this card for that purpose would be a good idea, though. Then there is that perk of going through Emptiness.
Slinky
Also, random use: Troll, and use it to end your own battle phase. Which would be hilarious if your opponent used Staunch Defender or Battle Mania. You can just say "lolno" to it.
