It's actually named after the real-life Enterprise aircraft carriers, the first being a WWII-era aircraft carrier notable for being one of the three surviving carriers of the war, and the ship with the most battle stars, and the second the world's first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, as well as the longest military ship ever built. And its design is basically an aircraft carrier with all but the conning tower reflected on the other side, giving it that double hull, with an extra hull and other fiddly bits making it fly.
