Canadian
This is silly because the card is not at all banworthy. Alternate victory conditions are the real reason this card got axed. Discuss.
heraldry_lord
Welp, Empty Jar is now dead too. It can now join Final Countdown and Self-Destruct Button in alt. win hell. I reckon Hope for Escape is next.

Sleepy
Pretty annoying card, but it was a very fun kind of annoying. This card actually has an anti-deck-out clause so that something like a Dragon Ruler deck wouldn't get decked out instantly. Konami, if you are on to errata-ing cards with true OPT clauses, these jars could definitely use it and become non-FTK cards.
Azuh
I personally just dont know why Konami doesn't implement a system in the game where EVERY card effect can only be activated once per turn.

Or at least, every monster effect. It'd save up a lot of space and prevent loops most definitely. No wait.... Mass Driver could come back..... Nope, you are right..... I like the idea of all cards OPT.
Neutrality Man
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oexP_bnzNqo Hmm, OPT becomes the new default on monster cards, and they have to explicitly SAY their effects are infinite use... I can honestly get behind this. This thread is now "Once per turn" vs "As often as you like" in card texts

Wildflame
It makes me angry because Jackpot 7 is probably the reason this and #1 got banned. It is a legit side deck card against some stuff. Hope it comes back at some point.

At least Exodia has the in-universe explanation that he was broken into 5 pieces and sealed away because he was so very OP an OG nothing could beat him. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
I honestly don't think Jackpot 7 is a reason for this to be banned. It's not even close to consistent in Jackpot 7, even if you had 2 of them. When you flip it, it goes back into your deck and is summoned back on your field, meaning you have to swap it and flip it again on the likely chance you didn't mill all 3. Unlike Morphing Jar as well, you don't get new cards to keep going and do it again. You have to settle for what's in your hand. Besides that, you could do it 20 times and never mill all 3. This is even assuming you have 2 Morphing Jar in deck, because if you only play 1, you're screwed if they ever get rid of it, and you can't keep going. If you ran anything else alongside Morphing Jar 2 you will eventually summon it with Jar's effect, as well, so trying to use 2 monsters to increase the mill is not only slow but a bad idea in general. If it WAS the reason they banned it, then I don't think it was justified.
goddamnit names are a pain
You guys do realize playing Morphing Jar makes you look like a total douche right? I'm glad Konami is throwing away douchebag cards. It is a legit side deck card against some stuff. Hope it comes back at some point. Macro Cosmos and D Fissure are legit side decks. That Continuous Trap that stops Spells is a legit sidedeck. Do you see how bad that logic is? Stupid cards need to stay the hell on the list. I'm glad Konami is throwing away douchebag cards. So let me get this straight. When you play Morphing Jar #2 in a deck like rock stun, ghostricks, or something else that just likes to set (not saying these are optimal builds, mind you) I am being hurtful to other players and annoying? People sure will be mad when they see me playing this card the way it was meant to be played, and in no way hurts the game!

Are you seriously telling me a FIELD WIPER that gives the opponent NOTHING in return for ANY Extra deck monsters being thrown away and just SETS everything you get while MILLING any GOOD Spells and Traps you have does NOT HURT THE GAME? And not to mention it only HELPS the player unless they are freaking stupid. Are you freaking serious? And just because you "can play a card right" does not mean it doesn't stand a higher chance to be played wrong. Guardian Dagger Elma can "be played right" etc etc etc. Seriously this card is stupid as hell and deserved to die.

Extra Deck monsters being returned isn't a huge deal, considering if there's so many that it's a problem the opponent shouldn't have put so much on the board, or they deserve to be stopped anyways. Extra Deck monsters usually get rid of cards, anyways, and likely could have gotten rid of Jar somehow. Having to use your normal summon to set something is sub-optimal in this format to begin with. Milling spells and traps isn't even close to a big deal, either. Being milled in general nobody cares about. Also, did you just argue that a card only helping a player is a bad thing? When cards work, they're supposed to help the player. If they didn't, you wouldn't play them, would you? I also already gave reasons as to why when it's used wrong it doesn't end up being a big deal. In mill decks even, it's subpar at beast. It's an 8x worse Morphing Jar, considering not only does it give you no cards and you can't play any other monsters to effectively use it. At 1, I think it would be perfectly fine.

If they didn't, you wouldn't play them, would you? 1. Just because it doesn't always work or the opponent "could easily stop it" does not mean a card is fair. I guess it is "fair" in punishing overextending. They put 2+ monsters into one card just to have it thrown away, but such is Yugioh. I start to get annoyed when the opponent PLUSSES after throwing away my stuff. That's awful designing. 2. Ehh I could see this but at the same time I'm against it. You're right though a lot of people/decks don't care about milling. 3. No. I. Did. Not. I said heavily punishing the opponent while doing nothing but helping you is freaking stupid. This has the potential to wipe the opponent's field entirely and them get nothing back OR get a few cards that just get set while milling (I will still argue this) essential Spells and Traps. It basically completely screws up the opponent while almost guaranteeing your Flip effects will go off and do something else stupid. I don't like this card. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Fossil Dyna can wipe an opponent's board completely clear too. It also can completely stop an opponent from doing any moves whatsoever. Granted, it destroys, but Morphing Jar #2 also doesn't get rid of anything but extra deck cards. Otherwise you're probably going to end up -1 Morphing jar 2 and the opponent is still going to have all of their cards, albeit face-down.
Wildflame
Macro Cosmos and D Fissure are legit side decks. And I want them back just as much I want this. I keep my point, besides the loops, there's absolutely nothing wrong with this card. The fact that it punishes ED monsters makes it even better in my books, seeing that the meta is packed with them. Every other situation your opponent will end up with the exact same number of cards they had before, and you end up -1 except when it is flipped by effect or manually. Fossil Dyna does not give you plusses and stuff to promote your win like MJ2. Morphing Jar gets rid of freaking anything- it just further punishes Edeck monsters. Same number of cards? Say I took BLS and ended up with Level eater/something else not like BLS You just stopped every single one of my power plays and there is no guarantee I get anything good at all out of it (which is somewhat legit but really sucky for the game) You get a -1? Really? You play this in decks you get plusses off of getting Flips etc. If you play this in some random deck hell yes it is a -1 But other than that it sets up your plays while giving the opponent squat compared to what they had. Sure they can use the effects or whatever of those set monsters but so can you.
