yeah the ooold photon decks would of used this with the spell, which wasnt as consistent as what the deck can do now

 

But generally monsters dont get tribute summoned nowdays and making this consistent would make the deck more inconsistent lol

This card looks neat when stacked but heck I think Supply Unit outclasses it with Drawpower and conditions.

The problem with this card is that in order to maximize it, you need to risk getting dead draws way too often. Oh, and then it doesn't even work with the best Tribute Summon engine in the game unless you save it for the Tribute Summon, and even then it will just sit there forever.

 

Ideally, it is multiple Pot of Greeds in a Duel that come with your big beaters of doom, but there are hardly any 2+-Tribute  monsters worth Tribute Summoning. There's LaDD, Gorz/Trag, and maybe a Mega Monarch or two. If you run too few, this card is dead. If you run too many, they are dead.

The card, combined with Photon Sanctuary, that created my namesake Deck. Naturally, the Deck has evolved to the point where this card is pointless, but it used to be so incredibly lulzy with cards like The Creator and Galaxy-Eyes.

This entire discussion has driven me crazy for ages. It's one of those things that seems to go either way, and there isn't a clear ruling for the situation.

 

I think at one point it was generally accepted that Double Tributers did not work, as Precious Cards required 2 physical Tributes to be used, and Coston/etc was still only 1 monster being Tributed.

 

The release of The First Monarch brought the concern back to mind. I still haven't found an official ruling saying you can or cannot activate Precious when using Double Tributer monsters.

 

EDIT: Found a source in a Japanese Wiki FAQ. Double Tributers DO NOT Trigger Precious. You need 2 physical sacrifices. If you use a Double Tributer and another monster for something like Beast King Barbaros, it will Trigger Precious (and Barbaros' 3 Tributes effect). But Precious itself needs 2 physical Tributes.

I once saw somebody Argue this wouldn't work with Tokens because they don't go to the Graveyard. I was so confused.
