Slinky
You can Set this card from your hand to your Spell & Trap Card Zoneas a Spell Card. When this Set card in your Spell & Trap Card Zone isdestroyed and sent to the Graveyard during your opponent's turn:Special Summon this card. When an "Artifact" card is destroyed and sent to your Graveyard (except during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon this card from your hand. Yes, its effect is terrible compared to the others, but is the effect really that important here? With Midrash on the rise, this is the only maindeck artifact capable of taking him out (outside of Scythe flat out preventing anything, but if they go first, and get Midrash out turn 1...) and actually surviving. Will this card start seeing play because of Midrash? Or will it just fade into obscurity? Discuss.
Trebuchet MS
I find it mildly amusing that it's a battle-axe, like the signature weapon of a certain other Labrys.
Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
I find it mildly amusing that it's a battle-axe, like the signature weapon of a certain other Labrys. A labrys is the name of a type of axe. Does everyone think cards are 100% original and not related to anything? Because they keep acting like it's coincidence they're related to things, when really they're just based on the same thing, or the card is related to it. Maeriberii Haan
I find it mildly amusing that it's a battle-axe, like the signature weapon of a certain other Labrys. Its lore is maybe an outright shout out to that one Labrys. Anyway, it might be a 1-of Theosophy option to beat Midrash face in.

Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
All of the Artifacts are named after the type of weapon depicted/the lore related to the weapon.
-Noel-
Aside from Midrash, it can ss itself from hand, which mean it can laugh at LIM and Soul Drain as well, probably side this in Decks that run more than just 3 Sanctums and 3 Morals

As much as I hate it when people make asinine assumptions about things being references to other series when it's more likely the just have a common root, this is a pretty obvious one. The lore + Aegis reference and even the pose are pretty convincing.

I think i'd run 2 if I used artifacts.

If you can't deal with the things that stand in your way, you lose the duel. Some answers make sense, some answers are ok, and some answers are weird things like Goblins or Injection Fairy Lily. Some answers make sense, some answers are ok, and some answers are weird things like Goblins or Injection Fairy Lily. That would be normal if it wasn't for the fact that since DEUA was released, YCM has been having a hard on for finding even the weirdest and most impractical cards just for the sake of posting a thread on it by saying 'it kills Midrash 11/10 card' It got to the point where one YCMer even suggested having Non-Fusion Area in the Side Deck. It's not just YCM, every competitive player has been looking for other ways to pop Midrash that can be mained without being dead cards. It's pretty much come to the point where Lance/Breakthrough/Book are staples because Midrash literally says you cannot play. Suggesting Non-Fusion Area is retarded though, I agree with that. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
I personally don't see how the designs are similar, and there's only so many ways you can realistically pose a weapon of that size to be in frame, but this is all semantics and I'll just shut up, especially considering I have nothing to say about the card itself. Ultravires
On topic, Labrys is crap and shouldn't even be used in the deck. You should already have Lances and Breakthroughs for taking care of Midrash, and you still have your normal summon so Star Drawing into R5 play is a thing. I personally don't see how the designs are similar, and there's only so many ways you can realistically pose a weapon of that size to be in frame, but this is all semantics and I'll just shut up, especially considering I have nothing to say about the card itself. By itself the pose isn't enough. The lore is somewhat similar to Labrys' backstory in P4A, as Labrys in P4A is almost pacifistic in personality but extremely protective of her "sister" units (which include Aigis) to the point of getting insanely violent. In Artifact Labrys' case, Caduceus stated in the Artifact lore that Labrys is "quite tender-hearted, but hates any who would do us harm," and "doesn’t forgive those who harm Aegis." 3 minutes in CS6 lel. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
I'll admit that I never have looked into the story behind the cards, I just know a lot of weapons, and of course have looked at the wiki a bit. Plus I don't know the character. All I do know is that labrys is a kind of axe, which both happen to use, and that the labrys is commonly associated with female goddesses. Which wouldn't make it too out of the question for both characters, named after the weapon, to be using that weapon and likewise both be female. I'll say I don't have any grounds to say it's not possible, I just personally couldn't see anything that ties them together other than a common origin.
