Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 1 "Morphtronic" monster from your Graveyard.
● While in Attack Position: Once per turn: You can roll a six-sided die, excavate cards from the top of your Deck equal to the result, add 1 excavated "Morphtronic" card to your hand, also, after that, shuffle the rest back into your Deck.
● While in Defense Position: Once per turn: You can roll a six-sided die, look at a number of cards from the top of your Deck equal to the roll, then place them on either the top or bottom of the Deck in any order.

So Rua gets a new toy to play with. Too bad it's two generations late for him.

But discuss it anyway.

Well, it is based on a gadget from the new era, fittingly considering it is being made this late.

Anyways, it's like Cellfon (more flavor points there), but places the card in the hand instead of the field. Hmm, don't know much about Morphtronics but do they even want a Duality-ish card like this? On one hand, it requires you to banish a monster first so you will rarely be able to play it in the first turn(s), and the stats are awful so it would be bad to simply leave in on the field.

On the other hand, since there are 3 more words after the card type I guess it is Tuner, plus it Specials Summons itself, which should allow for easier Synchro Summons.

From further research I found that not only it is indeed a Tuner, but also has "Special Summon" written after "Machine". Is that a new card sub-type I was not aware of?

Kinda. Now that's written in all "Special Summon only monsters". In the OCG, of course.

It's ok, but I was expecting something better as legacy support for Morphtronics. Maybe they'll get more cards?

Wow, we're really stacking on the subtypes. Now "nomis" have their officially recognized subtype. Who knows if there'll be support on the way?

Also, who knew that Celfon's "ignoring the Summoning conditions" clause would actually become significant? It means it can pull out Smarfon, and then after both are done with their Deck-picking shenanigans, go into a R1.

I see four /'s in the type/subtype section.

Is it a tuner or something?

Oh, you're right, it is a Tuner!

So in addition to the R1 play I've suggested, it can go into Formula with Celfon, along with pretty much going into anything LV5 or lower with most of the rest of the Morphtronics.

And it can put itself on the field easily after a Power Tool to go into Life Stream.

They'll probably release more Morphtronic stuff later on as it gets closer to release date. I just happened to see the card during a random search of Yugioh Wikia and opted to post it.

And as Gadjiltron mentioned, Celfon's "ignore limitation text" becomes relevant now; given all of the existing stuff up to now could be Special Summoned without any tags attached to them. But yeah, quicker Life Stream Dragons (or any Level 8 Synchros) are possible now.

I like the Defense Position effect; essentially move any potential dead draws to the bottom (though it depends on luck again). Attack one is already been mentioned; searching Accelerator or something is good, but you had better have protection for it OR be making a Synchro with it right away.

(They probably made a Morphtronic based on a iPad or something for this set, but just speculation until they actually leak it)

P.S. I do not own a smartphone [still using a regular slide-up cellphone that works fine]
