Peridank Posted December 11, 2014 Report Share Posted December 11, 2014 Some people say it is a poorly made show. Other's say it was good a Jerking tears. I have watched it and I loved it. Yes the op was animated better than the rest. But that was the point... they wanted the opening to be both sound and visually attracting. Having it on the same level as the show wouldn't have worked out. The sound track for the show... well... the show is called Angel Beats for a reason lol. It's one of the best anime sound tracks out there imo. Now onto the story... it was short and sweet... perhaps to short. The show gave whole back stories for some character... and almost none for others. It had a slight comedy to it. But it was more focused on drama. It seems like the show wanted to be a Shonen... but just didn't cut it. None the less... it made a great loving story about these souls in this lonely world. Too rushed, most of the characters seemed unimportant and left no impact, and aside from a couple of the sad scenes nothing stuck out in my mind. 6.5/10, maybe 7/10. I think it's a great gateway anime and pretty much 90% of people I know who've watched the show really enjoyed it.
