heraldry_lord
Spring of Rebirth Continuous Spell Card Increase your Life Points by 500 points every time monsters return from the field to the owner's hand. When a monster(s) on the field is returned to the hand, gain 500 LP. I've been looking at LP gain cards recently, and this seems to work best in Spirits and, more recently, Yosenju. Neither deck needs this card, of course, but what do you think about its viability in either deck?
Delibirb
I suppose it could be MST bait from the Yokai Shrine, but I wouldn't rely on it too much tbh
Judαs
Is LP gain still a thing? (not being sarcastic, genuinely asking) it seems too slow.
Toffee.
Spirits and, more recently, Yosenju-Spirits, ehh...Yosenju could MAYBE(and this is a big maybe) get away with it, if only because they also have stuff like Shrine and Set Yosenju-Barriers that are lurking around, and we all know how much people love MST bait/etc.
Slinky
Is LP gain still a thing? (not being sarcastic, genuinely asking) it seems too slow. Soul Absorption + Ritual Beasts = free 3-6k per turn
Toffee.
Soul Absorption + Ritual Beasts = free 3-6k per turnTo be fair, this is ONLY because the gain is that significant.Small gains in random intervals is nothing.Massive gain, like with Spiritual Beasts, that is something. Bringerofcake
While it COULD off-set the life loss that you potentially take from your opponent's direct attacks, it's still really, really slow.
Maeriberii Haan
500-1500 per turn isn't -that- significant, really. Card's not worth the effort in Yosenjus. Also btw, last format, there's some regional topping Clifford decks that utilized Mystic Wok, so it's something I guess in favor of LP gains or something. Not gonna say they're meaningful or not, but it's something.

And with Tool and Skill Drain plopping it down, you need some way to get it back up. Though Cephalopod should be used more, it isn't.

Set's just released for less than a month. Given time, people would tech Cephalopod for BAs more likely than not. And I think Wok's used to make Disk able to resolve under Drain while giving 2.8k LP, which sounds quite nice. Well, actually nah on the Cephalopod point. Nekroz is a big concern starting next week (I think) and I don't think it'll be that good against them.

Eh, with all the discarding they do to search every turn, they can stack up a tall enough Graveyard for Cephalopod to be ok.
Anti00
Actually, a "Card Return" deck can really profit with this card. Trolling your opponent with "Hane Hane" and "Penguin Soldier" while you make yourself untouchable. Can't find another usable way for this card. Blake
In the day, you could infinite loop a pair of Cerburrels + Brionac + this. Brionac is banned and that was a silly gimmick, but it was there. Better than flint lock.
Tinkerer
Could this work with UAs? It wouldn't be substantial, but gaining 1k-1.5k while maintaining a decent defense/offense balance could help if you suddenly find your opponent snatch stealing your goalkeeper. Yes it can, and every well. Once you get your plays going and every turn bring out more stuff, the gain can become very significant. It is slow to start up though, just like with UAs, and the duel is generally over before you can get much use out of this card if you have truly gained that much momentum in UA.
