[spoiler=Number 108: Grimm the Death Monarch] 3 Level 6 Monsters When this card is Xyz Summoned: Add 1 "Rank-Up Magic" card from your Deck to your hand, but you cannot Xyz Summon for the rest of the turn. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then Special Summon 1 "Monarch" monster from your hand. This Special Summon is treated as a Tribute Summon. [/spoiler] [spoiler=Number C108: Disaster the Grimm Monarch] 4 Level 7 Monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then look at your opponent's hand. Special Summon 1 Level 5 or higher monster from either player's hand to your side of the field. This Special Summon is treated as a Tribute Summon. If this card has "Number 108: Grimm the Death Monarch" as an Xyz Material, it gains this effect. - Negate the effects of all monsters your opponent controls. [/spoiler] [spoiler=Xyz Form] You can pay half your Life Points to Xyz Summon 1 Xyz Monster using appropriate monsters from your hand as Xyz Materials. [/spoiler] [spoiler=Chaos Denial] When an opponent's monster declares an attack, you can activate this card: During that battle, the monster you control cannot be destroyed by battle, also, your opponent take and damage you would have taken from that battle. When a monster declares an attack: Your opponent must send 1 "Number C" or "CXyz" monster from their Extra Deck to the Graveyard. If they cannot, destroy this card. Wouldn't it be more correct as: 'Pay half your Life Points: Xyz Summon 1 Xyz Monster using appropriate monsters from your hand as Xyz Materials.'? Again, I could be wrong. Just trying to help! This way, it doesn't make it sound like the cost is optional but allows you to keep the continuous aspect. .Rooster Posted February 14, 2015 Report Share Posted February 14, 2015 I guess these cards supposed to follow up to some shameless beatdown considering how quickly you can summon the Xyz monster, and the chance of summoning so many monsters while breaking down the opponent's defences. But I can't see how this would work with any monarchs. Monarchs are usually supposed to be about summoning effects and shagging frogs like crazy. But I may be wrong...
