(GigaDrillBreaker)
Been playing the deck for quite a while now. The whole deck is pretty much FTK or make infinity. To be honest, they are pretty good at both.
Expelsword
Mediocre deck whose concept makes me progressively angrier as time goes on. Though to be fair, it's really that Qliphoth Tool's fault.

heraldry_lord
Elaborate? I'm gonna guess he means that Qliphorts have Scout to make their Pendulum Scale setup and Summons very consistent, but Normal Pendulums got no such thing, making them incredibly more glass-cannon than they needed to be. Expelsword
No, I mean if you're going to make a Normal monster, it means it has no effect. Also, the idea behind this deck is to set scales, then throw a ton of huge monsters out and win before your opponent blows the scales. There's also Heart of the Underdog shenanigans. Maeriberii Haan
These have relatively the barebones of effect though (and flash knight is pure vanilla). It's not Igknights. HotU shenanigans are pretty fair since it's slooooooooooow.
heraldry_lord
No, I mean if you're going to make a Normal monster, it means it has no effect. It has no effect as a monster in a Monster Card Zone, but in the Pendulum Zone, it's like a Continuous Spell Card; therefore, technically, the Normal Monster part hasn't changed. Still, this game has circumvented its own rules before. If they held strictly to every mechanic they laid out, Rank-Ups and Xyz Changes wouldn't exist, it wouldn't be possible to Normal Summon more than once per turn, Polymerization would be the only way to Fusion Summon anything, and "ignoring the Summoning Conditions" effects wouldn't exist. Progenitor
It always confused me: Are dragoons and Sea Dragoons supposed to work in tandem? For some reason it seems like their effects have the same activation timing, but then normal Dragoons specifically mentions "end of damage calculations" So can you SS the monster you searched or are their timings actually the same and that doesn't work? Progenitor
I think they're going to be part of a series. .......that......that didn't answer my question at all.
Jord200
.......that......that didn't answer my question at all. I mean there will be more. An EARTH one, a WIND one, and so on. So yes, they probablly are meant to work together.
Progenitor
I mean there will be more. An EARTH one, a WIND one, and so on. So yes, they probablly are meant to work together. I know they work together flavor wise, and I also assumed that there would be more with more sneak peaks. I my question was can you SS the one that you searched if you have Dragoons and Sea Dragoons set, or do their timings interfere with each other. Jord200
Oh, sorry. Honestly, I don't know. Sea Dragoons TECHNICALLY isn't out yet.....So I don't know. Maybe we don't have a ruling yet?
(GigaDrillBreaker)
When I say "FTK" i mean my first turn, going second, because honestly idgaf about your definitions.
Bringerofcake
I know they work together flavor wise, and I also assumed that there would be more with more sneak peaks. I my question was can you SS the one that you searched if you have Dragoons and Sea Dragoons set, or do their timings interfere with each other. As I understand it you do. So you could effectively get any normal monster from your Deck when you kill something. It always seemed to me that normal pendulum was konami's attempt to "modernize" the original concept of the game. It's still "summon monsters and beat face " but with effects grafted on to make them able to get things done. I always liked flavor text so the fact that they can have both effects and text makes me happy.
Sleepy
I think its cool that you can Summon a 2500 ATK beater and make it accumulate effects given to it by the gates that brought it out. Though only 2 of those can do so at a time so it only goes so far, and 1 of them is likely to half the time just be "gains 300 ATK" or something unrelated to the monster, like that Level 5 Pendulum S/T removal effect. What I don't quite like about them is that they are the bare bone of the Pendulum Mechanic aspects I don't like. How it'll just attempt to swarm with everything it can and be a potential OTK every turn for the rest of the game after a few turns in give it enough build up. Or that if you disable the scales effectively enough, they'll just be sitting ducks. Especially since most of them are Tribute Monsters. Oh, and them being vanilla on their own, and due to the scales needing to be 2, that means clearing their side and getting them on top deck mode will leave them with dead draws a good amount of the time in theory. On another plus side, they can go for Genesis Dragon and Rank 6 monsters, and Scales 1 and 8 for vanillas are soon to come with the new Magicians....
