What if you were Limited: Spellbook of Judgment

Spellbook of Judgment
Quick-Play Spell
During the End Phase of the turn this card was activated, add "Spellbook" Spell Cards from your Deck to your hand, except "Spellbook of Judgment", up to the number of Spell Cards activated after this card's resolution, then, you can Special Summon from your Deck 1 Spellcaster-Type monster whose Level is less than or equal to the number of cards added to your hand by this effect. You can only activate 1 "Spellbook of Judgment" per turn.

Spellbook of Judgment was without a doubt one of the worst and most poorly designed cards in Yu-Gi-Oh, causing it to get banned immediately. The card netted so much advantage and with it sheer power made Spellbooks a tier 0 deck. That coupled with it being a quick-play, searchable, and recyclable made the card truly broken. Now what would happen if this came back to 1. I honestly believe that if the card came back to 1, it would severely affect the meta. What do you think would happen if konami suddenly limited the card, and what are your opinions on this beast of a spell?

LOLOLOLOLOL. No.

Tier 1 alongside D-Rulers? Yes. Tier 0? No. Tier 0 only signifies a deck that can only realistically be beaten in the mirror match. Tier 0 decks are very few, and very far between. Spellbooks are not one of them.

Very few cards have gotten banned the next list after being released. Some cards have gone from 3 to 0, rare as even that is, but there was simply no question that this card alone broke the whole Deck. It was searchable and while it gave the + during the End Phase...it searched pretty much everything in your Deck. And then Summoned something from a pool that got better the more you searched.

You only need 1 of these. You can search it and recycle it. The only real difference between 3 and 1 is the odds of drawing it.

I seem to recall us thinking this card had to be fake when it was revealed, because it was so BLATANTLY overpowered and supported a Deck that was already relevant.

Shame it was a poorly designed card. I wouldn't ever want it to come back. Just gain so much advantage with 1 card, that's too much.

Also anyone watching Lithium2300 cross ban list tournament? It seems Spellbooks in its prime crushed Nekroz o-o though to be fair the tournament lack proper side decks cards.

I love its art though, and Judgment is supposed to be an earth-shattering Tarot card, so the effect at least lives up to that.

I think this card will eventually be powercreeped to the point where having it at 1 will mean little from a competitive point of view, but that isn't now.

Didn't really use Spellbooks much but fuck me this is Broken! From what I understand, Spellbooks Decks run a LOT of Spell Cards so you are netting a godly number of pluses from this. Not to mention it grabs all the Spellbooks you will ever need along with a Special Summon? I would consider a Spellbook Deck if this ever came back  but I would also like some of the stuff Konami was smoking if this came back (looking at you Snatch Steal)

The scariest thing about this card was that Spellbooks are already based around self-replacing Spells, like Secrets, Master and Power, so it isn't even regaining lost advantage, it's just generating profit. Even Super Rejuvenation requires You to do something that (under normal circumstances) costs you advantage.
