Well we got a Trap Monster Archetype from Korea then, that's interesting.

So the entire lineup of the Korean exclusives are a whole Trap Monster archetype? Sucks we don't have anymore Lovecraft for now but...this archetype looks pretty tight. It balances itself by making sure you can't spam all at once, but still does a lot of neat crippling effects from backrow, similar to Artifacts. Level 2 Aqua also opens up to Wetlands Beat too. Not to mention versatility with them being Normal Trap Monsters, so maybe Heat Wave/Tyrant's Throes use? Only weaknesses I can see if the deck can't get itself to trigger immediately off your opponent's Traps (if they have any), so maybe things like Dust Tornado, Reckless Greed, Imperial Custom, and Aegis of the Ocean Lord can be viable to speed the process. Overall, very well done Konami of Korea.

I like how, for all intensive purposes, the first effects of the Traps are all mundane stuff, but at the same time your going to end up Summoning a lot of stuff from your Graveyard as a result, which is pretty interesting as a whole. Especially that Xyz.

I'd seriously love it if they continued this Archetype, if only because it looks like a lot of fun.

Shapesister is also a Level 2, and can allow you to make Level 4 Synchro Monsters.

In theory, most of their Normal Summons would be spent on stuff like Mask of Darkness...Really not sure what else they'd want, besides possibly another rank 2 engine. Combining them with Artifacts seems interesting at first, until you realize they play quite differently, though with Shapesister you can make easy level 9 synchros.

I stuck the names of these into Wikipedia...

They are all named after extinct sea life/etc from the Cambrian. Interesting.

Wiki:

Olenoides was a trilobite from the Cambrian period.

Hallucigenia is a genus of Cambrian animals known from articulated fossils in Burgess Shale-type deposits in Canada and China, and from isolated spines around the world.

Canadia is a genus of extinct annelid worm present in Burgess Shale type Konservat-Lagerstätte.

Pikaia gracilens is an extinct animal known from the Middle Cambrian Burgess Shale of British Columbia.

Anomalocaris is an extinct genus of anomalocaridid, a family of animals thought to be closely related to ancestral arthropods.

You know, it's now really bothering me that these lack a searcher of some kind.

However, at the same time, I feel that it would defeat the purpose.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see these being more of a consistent thing, but at the same time I feel like they want them to be slow-ish so they come off as random Traps, but then are suddenly-

funk it. Neos won the thread.

Well, it doesn't really matter, you just want as many as possible.

So... MST, Shrink, Book of Moon, and Galactic Charity, all with effects to pump themselves onto the field for Xyz Summons to dodge their banish effect.

As well as access to the Frog Engine, Wetlands and the ability to pump out 2 or 3 Gachi Gachi in a turn.

Cute techs could be the Phantom Veil, to be able to use L6 Syncs (alongside Shapesister) and R4s.

Alternatively, you could also do a Necrovalley build, as Necrovalley doesn't affect these guys and grants access to Cat of Ill Omen, and potentially locking your opponent from doing a lot of stuff.

It is amazing that they want to be used as xyz material and then reset their status like quillbolt hedgehog .

If they get more cards then  they might become a very interesting and funny deck.

(I have to admit that I really enjoy their (NON-RANK 4 XYZ) basicly holding his middle finger towards castel and other rank 4s (excluding utopia, etc.).

idk what this deck will be able to do turn 1 other than set 5 and then denko sekka could lockdown the whole deck lol

anyways nice to see trap monsters but it prob would of been better if they were more powerful, tho that xyz seems pretty stronk

hmm I just had an idea

you could tech Olenoides or Canadia in a deck that can make rank 2s for now lets just say Frogs and you could use these to make their Xyz and be able to pop 3 times since you only need 1 overlayed
