Growing up I was always single and i was always told "Don't get a girlfriend." I never knew why until i found myself in a relationship for over a year now. I can definitely say I miss being alone, being able to worry about no one but myself, not answering to anyone, being free is basically the jist of it. To me you have had to have gotten into a relationship and see for yourself, just having that experience helps you perceive whats important. Been in three relationships, all three have asked me out-I don't have the time to get serious with someone else again at the moment but would be nice, it's just like a nice thing to have. I've spent a few years getting over my last break-up and getting built up again and actually gotten very good at it. But in the process of wrapping up the big emotional issues on the surface, I dug deeper and noticed that how many social anxieties all of this has given me as a result. For instance, I've only just learned in the past few weeks that have I really big issues when it comes to getting close to people; with taking initiative with calling them up, sending them messages, etc. Just that I get very anxious just at the thought of it and this ends up keeping me from actually doing it. So like... I'd like to be in another relationship because I know what those are like; but knowing this now, I don't think I can do that. Some people would contest that it doesn't really count, but I'd like to think so. A month feels like a while when you're invested in something like that. I'd like to have one, though.
