Catman25
I've been seeing a few people run this lately. Looking at the last thread, the main argument I think was Wiretap was generally better. It came to mind again because the possibility of multiple Notices + Warning could really be crippling. And with all the Spell-heavy decks running around I feel like currently this has a lot more utility
(GigaDrillBreaker)
Wiretap relies on traps making up a significant part of decks. While this hits ritual spells, fusion spells, and pendulum scales... Actually, when I put it that way, it almost seems broad enough to make up for the -1. TF2_The_Scout
I chained this to an Upstart Goblin. That's when I stopped playing it.
jackelgull
I think this card is better than people give it for. Unlike wiretap this works for both spell and trap cards. The utility of it means alot since gameplay is dominated by spells and monster effects these days.
Airride
I chained this to an Upstart Goblin. That's when I stopped playing it.I still think this a legit play in Counter Faries
Slinky
The main issue is that the -1 it creates is the most damaging kind. giving your opponent extra resources was never a good idea, which was why ODoP never caught on outside of stall decks. It would have been so much better if it diminished your own resources instead of adding to your opponents.
Bringerofcake
I have a friend who got 5th at a regional because he ran it in hero, banishing the card they drew with dark law
BlackBeartic
Yeah I used to run this years ago. The problem is as said above is that it allows your opponent to draw (which sometimes leads them into topdecking sadly). That being said with the decks that I see now i'm tempted to actually drop it in my decks again. Only problem is my decks don't run endless backrow hate like they used to. Ryusei the Morning Star
This and quite Great Horn were quite common OCG side due to, like cake mentioned, offsetting the -1 with Law's effect
Darj
I have a friend who got 5th at a regional because he ran it in hero, banishing the card they drew with dark law This is such a clever way to play around the card draw. Most likely I won't, but I felt like playing HEROes just to try this. In older days, I remember reading this card was good for stopping Heavy Storm and other mass removal cards because it prevented the opponent from gaining a higher advantage than the +1 this card provides them. Nowadays, I suppose this would apply on Raigeki and Soul Charge as well.
evilfusion
This card's effectiveness depends entirely on what they end up drawing, or how crucial the card you negated was. As such, it's inconsistent, but when timed right, it can be incredible.
