Double Penetration

Hmmmmm, what could you possibly be talking about~

'Double Penetration' just refers to the double summoning of penetrating monsters, doesn't it~

Yeah, it refers to summoning 2 monsters that can inflicting piercing damage, though it may be interpreted as an implicit reference to the "other" definition.

I don't know, but there's that.

But indeed, you need to put a limiter on what cards this can summon, and especially make sure they don't make R4 spam or whatever.

You'd also need to check for the string in the text that says a monster can inflict piercing damage (PSCT should've made that easier to find).

This card would go nicely in a fairy deck with Air Knight Parshath. Activate this get 2 Air Knights on the field, pierce and draw two cards. And that's relatively benign to what this combos this card could enable. This needs a hard level limit. And a one per turn clause. If not that, then at least have the decency to destroy the summoned monsters at the end phase of the turn they're summoned.

I don't think Level limits are needed. Parshath is a card that has seen play in a long time. But that is a nice use for the card. I agree with the hard opt for activation. Destroying them is a nice thought.

I really wanna comment on that combo though. That is a +3 if you manage to get it off. That's amazing. But we have to remember monsters exist with 2000+ DEF too, so it isn't the most viable thing. Also keep in mind the Parshaths can be dead weight really easily, especially on just RUNNING THEM. This card is an instant +1 by itself. I like it, gains advantage, but doesn't set you up to make broken plays.

I suppose this card can theoretically give some life to decks that rely on tribute summons like Earthbound Immortals and Monarchs. Still, the +1 advantage this card gives makes me antsy. And the lack of level limit means that this card allows for some level 8 beat sticks to see some play. If there's going to be no level limit then those monsters really need to die at the end phase. That way this card is still useful to end the game, but isn't too useful.

It still lacks the OPT (You can only activate "x card" once per turn), the card doesnt have activation requirements either (not that you have to put one, im just making a point), so the least the monsters summoned can do is being destroyed at the end phase.

The xyz and synchro restriction i think its not necesarry but rather that you only special summon 2 monsters with different names (lets be honest all the combos we think to pull off with this card, myself included requires to summon monsters with the same name 99% of the times). although an archetype usually only have 1 piercing monster (that is if it even has 1), so this could nerf the card, but you still getting 2 monsters for free
