1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
While this Synchro Summoned card is on the field, your opponent cannot activate effects of monsters with the same original Attribute(s) as the "Yang Zing" monster(s) used for the Synchro Summon of this card. When this Synchro Summoned card is destroyed by battle or card effect and sent to the Graveyard: You can add 1 Tuner monster from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn, when a monster(s) your opponent controls is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon 1 Wyrm-Type monster from your Deck, in Defense Position, whose original Attribute matches the original Attribute that 1 of those destroyed monsters had on the field.

Been running Yang zing for a long time, pure, graydle mix, kaiju mix, zefra ny3 build, but the best i can say about this guy is that this is a occasional bastard. If you manage to bring him out with right materials, he wins you games and helps spam the board furthur. I normally prefer Baxia over him ( baxia is better in most situations) but it is a great boss monster anyway. His ability to also search for any tuner in the whole game on destruction is pretty nice. Overall a very good stun card but most situations do not require depending on him.

Use Chewy+funk Snatch Steal +Bian to make Kozmo unplayable

Jiaotu, discard 2, summon Zefraniu and Chiwen, Jiaotu+Zefraniu=Baxia, (which then lets you shuffle away the Kozmotown if there is one) Baxia+Chiwen=Chaofeng, preventing LIGHT.

 

Obviously a weaker Chaofeng than the one you listed, but it is playable turn 1 with just Jiaotu and 2 YZ in hand.

Shuffling away Town might actually make it a stronger play. Seeing both Straw man and Farm Girl are lights

 

Wind Zing would also be nice vs Maje

Jiaotu+Pulao+Bixi+the Fire Yang Zing=Chaofeng that laughs at almost anything Maje can throw at you.

 

almost impossible to setup and you'd better off doing Yazi instead.

 

but hey.

I actually pulled that off at Locals once T1.

 

 

Normal Jiao

Pitch Pulao and 1 other for Bixi and Suanni

Make Beelze in DEF

Soul Charge for 4k

Chaofeng

Ah right, forgot about that restriction.

 

EDIT: Okay, figured it out. Use Jiaotu's effect to discard at least 1 pulao, then bring out a Zefraniu and any other Yang Zing. Make Baxia with Jia and niu, pop the random YZ to revive Pulao, then special Zefraxi from the deck, triggering its effect to turn either Baxia or Pulao into a tuner, then make Chaofeng. This does require you to open with Pulao in order to do it first turn, however.

Ah right, forgot about that restriction.

 

EDIT: Okay, figured it out. Use Jiaotu's effect to discard at least 1 pulao, then bring out a Zefraniu and any other Yang Zing. Make Baxia with Jia and niu, pop the random YZ to revive Pulao, then special Zefraxi from the deck, triggering its effect to turn either Baxia or Pulao into a tuner, then make Chaofeng. This does require you to open with Pulao in order to do it first turn, however.

This requires running zefraxi, and Baxia and Yazi are both so useful against Majespecter that they don't need to tech a card just to make a WIND Chaofeng.

Additionally, Pulao is a solid 1-of, so opening with it isn't something to rely on.

I'm curious on this card's origin in the DT storyline: from where it came from? why does it resembles more a bird than a dragon like the rest of the Yang Zings do? This really makes it stand out.

 

A bit more on topic, discussing this card with other YCMers the other day I brought up how Tatsunoko can assist with Summoning Chaofengs that lock a desired attribute(s). For instance, for a Chaofeng that locks FIREs:

Jiatou + Bixi on hand

Jiaotu --> Summon Suanni and Pulao

Jiaotu + Pulao = Synchro Summon Tatsunoko

Tatsunoko + Suanni + Bixi (from hand, by Tatsunoko's effect) = Chaofeng that locks both FIREs & WATERs, plus with +500 ATK/DEF and immunity to Traps.

 

For a WIND lock:

Jiatou + Pulao on hand

Jiaotu --> Summon Taotie and 2nd Pulao

Jiaotu + Pulao = Synchro Summon Tatsunoko

Tatsunoko + Taotie + Pulao (from hand, by Tatsunoko's effect) = Chaofeng that locks both WINDs & DARKs, plus with immunity to Spells and control change.

 

Now, whether Tatsunoko plays are worth it it's a different matter. But if they can potentially win games, I would think they most likely are.
