If you have less than 1000 LP: You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 Tuner monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it.

Once per turn, if this card battles an opponent's Special Summoned monster, during damage calculation: This card's ATK become double its current ATK, during damage calculation only.

Trap

Choose 1 Synchro Monster in your Extra Deck; roll a six-sided die and Special Summon 1 "Dice" Tuner monster from your Graveyard, but its effects are negated, also its Level becomes the same as the result. Then, immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon the chosen Synchro Monster, using Materials including the Special Summoned "Dice" Tuner monster. If you cannot Synchro Summon the chosen Synchro Monster, destroy all monsters you control.

Lightning Archduke will hopefully have that LP restriction removed or be changed but be restricted to Speedroid Tuners when it comes to the OCG/TCG. If it gets something like that, it looks actually pretty good. But otherwise that restriction kills its usefulness.

 

Puzzle... is kinda rubbish. If you want a 2600 ATK beater in Speedroids, you can just as easily get out Yazi, and that has the added benefit of being untargetable and having the destruction effect, as well as not needing to battle Special Summoned monster. Being a Speedroid monster doesn't really make up for that. I expect it will get buffed, but IDK how.

 

Re-Dice is bad.

Well, Konami just lost another 50% of my trust...these things are BAD.

 

Can they stop making junk like this and make good Speedroids like Terrortop again?

these are anime cards

 

in the anime, Hagoita, Terrortop, Taketomborg, and others were much less useful than IRL.

 

Hell, Konami doesn't even make the anime cards as they are, they only make the RL ones.

Well, they released stuff like Tri-Eyed Dice, Menko, and Razorang, which I believe were taken straight out of the anime with no changes in effects. Not to mention stuff like Dice Roll Battle.

... Tri-Eyed is good, so what's the complaint

 

Menko was slightly changed, Razorang was unchanged, Speed Rebirth was buffed, Hidden Shot is either the same or buffed, and DRB is a flashy gimmick that was used against Goyo in the first Synchro Dimension duel, so it got a release.

Well, Menko still sucks, Razorang sucks, Tri-Eyed could've been better. Speedroids could've been such a fun deck if they didn't botch 25% of the monsters for defensive purposes.

 

No, Menko is good, Razorang sucks, yes, but Tri-Eyed dice is amazing so don't you dare insult my babies like that! You also forgot Ohajikid which could be a good card in some decks but sucks in Speedroids.

 

OT: 

The trap I will ignore

 

Archduke would be amazing if they make it this: 

You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 "Speedroid" Tuner monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it. Hard OPT

 

This would mean that finally, I can summon BRD without a Normal Summon for use with Kendama. If they put the WIND limit on it I will be kinda annoyed, but still grateful as it will still make Omega even better in Sp'roids.

 

Finally, poor Rappa Zzle, that I had so many power fantasies about. Basically, it needs to be completely remade. At least it's not another Level 5.

Yeah it sucks my dick, peasant. But seriously, it's good for making R4NK more accessible to Sp'roids because they struggle with that.

You know, that Trap wouldn't be atrociously bad if you rolled the Dice THEN chose the Synchro. By choosing the Synchro first, you are literally gambling on getting a specific dice roll, with absolutely no flexibility. And I know that's the point - it's a gamble card that rewards luck and heavily punishes failure.

 

I dunno, I just dislike gamble cards that have such a narrow window for success, even in the anime. Joey made gamble cards work, but that's because he was banking on specific results, but the cards themselves still did something reasonably productive that justified their use at all, and the specific results were just for those SELECT situations.

The trap wouldn't be AS bad if it happened in a different order. If you got to roll, revive a dice, change the level, and THEN pick which synchro to go for, it would actually be kinda good.  Not fantastic, but at least usable.  Should it get printed I feel that's the path they are gonna take.
