DARK/Level 3/Dragon-Type/Pendulum/Effect
P Effect
1. Once per turn, when a face-up “Odd-Eyes” Pendulum Monster you control is destroyed by battle or by card effect: Choose 1 card in your Pendulum Zones and destroy it, and if you do, place 1 face-up “Odd-Eyes” Pendulum Monster other than “Odd-Eyes Mirage Dragon” from your Extra Deck in your Pendulum Zones.
Monster Effect
1. During either player’s turn, if you control an “Odd-Eyes” card in your Pendulum Zone, you can target 1 “Odd-Eyes” monster on your field: Once during this turn, that monster cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects. You can only use this effect of “Odd-Eyes Mirage Dragon” once per turn.

is this a funking vanilla 8 scale because if it is i will flip a table

oh no, it's not like we have MULTIPLES of those, and that this is possibly the worst of those

For Odd-Eyes name relevancy, Performapal Odd-Eyes Unicorn is better.

For other name relevancy, Dragonpit Magician is better.

The level 7/Scale 8 Metalphosis is better for stats.

The LEvel 2/Scale 8 metalphosis is the only one arguably worse, outside of its deck.

vanilla 8 scale isn't an issue, it's vanilla 1 that's a lot scarier and is still not that much better than 2 scales

At least, before Nirvana High Magician, who lets you go Trump Girl + Ignister.

So the Pendulum Effect is a counterpart to Persona, which apes the Magician interaction they reference. And the monster effect... isn't useful for much. About all this guy does is give me a less wasteful thing to use to summon Vortex.

I'd be inclined to agree, but Light Phoenix and Persona have the vortex summoning covered, so... Yeah.

Is Unicorn Better? This feels a lot safer if only because you can actually P-Summon it if it gets blown out...

On another note, considering how they are, Odd-eyes could really use a Plushfire-type card.

So ... much ... better than Timega... Magician of Chronomancy. Also considering it protects a summoned Odd-eyes from bottomless trap hole and defends a bit. Also its Pendulum Effect is much better than Mirage's Pendulum Effect, considering it can replace used pendulum scales with OEPD, which then replaces itself with a fitting scale, pendulum sorcerer or nobledragon, which (alongside odd-eyes and a copy of this) can then summon Nirvana and recycle a pendulum call, sky iris etc.(not to mention that it can substitute for a lost Mirage Dragon) Odd-Eyes seems to become a fun-to-play-with archtype ... and while it + noble only leads into a red wyvern, while Persona can summon ignister and Scarright that is still not an awful play either.
