Nya. Monarch Support?

It has the same stats as Majesty's Fiend as well. Both this card and that card receive benefits to the crap that Monarchs have nowadays, but I guess that's fine considering that I can usually outplay Monarchs using my Kozmo deck as well as some of the other meta decks. They're not hard to play around until they have all of their pieces set up.

This card serves to outplay Decks that love to SS and utilize the Graveyard, such as BA/PK/Speedroid. It's also useful in protecting itself by the targeting effects of Qli control, and prevents the effects of cards such as Saqlifice from resolving.

I'm not sure if the "Cannot be's-" are supposed to be separated. If I recall correctly, the "Cannot be's-" should be connected together. So for proper OCG grammar, it's probably:

"Cannot be Special Summoned or be targeted by an opponent's card effects. While this card is face-up on the field, cards in the Graveyard cannot activate their effects (that start a Chain). If this card attacks or is attacked by a Special Summoned monster: You can increase this card's ATK by 800 during the Damage Step only."

It looks fine nya, other than that. Unless you're trying for something specific other than what I've reviewed?

Rip Kozmo. This outs everything they can do by themselves that I can think of.

Not to mention it's useable extremely easily by monarchs, which have a slight advantage over the deck anyway, what with their ATK buffs & non-target removal.

In combination with Domain, It also means BA is no longer playable.

(The OCG is fine as-is, Yuuji. Only change might be to change the last effect to "If this card attacks or is targeted for an attack by a Special Summoned monster...")

This is a strictly better Soul Drain by virtue of it locking off card effects (as a reminder, Soul Drain is Limited, but I am assuming you remembered this, right?)

But yeah, considering the amount of Graveyard usage that we have nowadays, this would stop said Decks for a while; especially with Kozmos triggering when they hit the grave. Although, considering this is pretty much eligible for Monarch support, it's effectively a floodgate for them (though in return, you can't trigger Pantheism or some of the support cards from the Graveyard, and they sort of need them for things).

For all it's worth, this card becomes a walking 3200-4000 ATK against SS'd monsters (2400 base + 800 from attacking a monster + 800 from battling a SS'd monster, which is basically most things). Hell, you can't even Castel this thing.

----

Remove the targeting protection and even the stat booster. As-is, this card is pretty much a walking floodgate that screws over SS decks and anything that triggers via the Graveyard unless you either Raigeki this or run this over with something that isn't SS'd or one that's at least 3200 ATK.

Thank you. I might see about grammar afterwards.

I'm merely giving a suggestion to make it tidier, if nothing else. It's fine as it is, but I thought that the suggestion I gave might've worked better. Based the Graveyard lock effect from Soul Drain, and the "Cannot be's-" out of the cards are usually "Cannot be ______ or _____". The only exceptions are the ones with a Conditional Summoning effect, such as DAD and the like.

Also, it isn't even that bad. Castel is overrated due to R4 spam. There's still plenty of other ways to out this card. Kozmojo, Ignister, Magespecter Traps, Solemns, and Prime Photon can also overpower it. heck, Blue-Eyes and their giant beatsticks as well. The only thing, if this card truly feels too OP, can be simply nerfed by increasing the DEF by 100 to lose Monarch support or adding a limitation of only controlling 1 copy, or both.

Your suggestions outright cripple the card. If it lacks power and protection, how will it survive (or be useful) against Decks that have fast SS engine as well as removal? Just preventing Graveyard effects from activating isn't strong enough, and almost all Decks would be able to overrun this.

Actually, Cannot be SS must be separate from the targeting, the first one is a summoning condition/restriction, the protection is the actual effect, and "while this is face up is unnecessary" (see jinzo), also this negates like necrovalley, doesnt prevents the activation.

"Cannot be Special Summoned. Cannot be targeted by an opponent's card effect. Negate the effects of all cards that activate in the Graveyard. If this card battles a Special Summoned monster, during damage calculation: You can have this card gain 800 ATK during that damage calculation only."

As for the card, is a The End of Anubis on steroids, though the later also negated cards that target the grave, the protection is what can make this card an auto win against certain decks

Monarch mirror should be "Fun" if they manage to play around stormfoth, but is double edge sword since they wont be able to play properly either.

And Yuji is right, about the protection, without it, the card would not better than Anubis which hasnt a summon restriction and covers more grave area

All "Gravekeeper's" monsters gain 500 ATK and DEF. Cards in either player's Graveyard cannot be banished. Negate any card effect that would move a card in the Graveyard, other than itself, to a different place.

I see about the thing with Necrovalley. I based it my OCG change on Soul Drain, but looking at Necrovalley, I'm not 100% sure anymore.

Thanks for pointing out the Summoning Condition part that I made a mistake on. Summoning Conditions go first, and then effects. The 2 "Cannots" in a row are a bit awkward, though.

"Cannot be Special Summoned. This card cannot be targeted by an opponent's card effect. Negate the effects of all cards that activate in the Graveyard. If this card battles a Special Summoned monster, during damage calculation: You can have this card gain 800 ATK during that damage calculation only."

Maybe adding a "This card" can kill the awkwardness a little. They shortened the "This card cannot" to "cannot" not too long ago tbh. But either way, thanks for pointing that out.
