Black D'Sceptyr
Welcome back to D'Sceptyr's Daily 2, where the cards are awesome and the artwork in the center of 'em don't matter! (Cause they're not mine. Savvy?) I kid though- without 'em, though, I'd be a total loss, much like the sequel to the Blair Witch Project What sequel? EXACTLY. [spoiler=Orbiter of Opalescence] WIND/Machine-Type Synchro Effect/Level 11/3000 ATK/2900 DEFLore: 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monstersThe battle position of monsters on the field cannot be changed, except by card effects. Once per turn, if this card is in face-up Attack Position: You can discard 1 card in your hand and 1 card in your opponent's hand, then if both of those discarded cards were monsters, you can Special Summon 1 of those monsters, and if you do, change this card's battle position. Once per turn, during either player's turn, you can: Change the battle position of 1 face-up monster on the field, also negate its effects until the End Phase. [spoiler=Altered Life Spark] LIGHT/Fairy-Type Tuner Effect/Level 7/2200 ATK/1800 DEF Lore: You can Tribute monsters from either side of the field whose total Levels equal exactly 7: Special Summon this card (from your hand.) Cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Cannot be Tributed. Once per turn, You can declare a number from 1 to 6; make the Levels of all other face-up monsters on the field become the declared number, also they lose ATK and DEF equal to the difference between their new Levels and current Levels x100. Cannot Fusion, Synchro or Xyz Summon monsters using this card on the field as a Material, except LIGHT monsters. Orbiter's purpose is simple-Star Eater's cool and good, but can I have something that Gustos and Speedroids can afford to ramp into? And if so, could I make it good through a long-dead mechanic of unchangeable battle positions? Probably not. HELL IF I'M NOT TRYIN' THOUGH!! And the Life Spark....well the pic looked cool and was rutting in the folder. Like doing wholly original cards to get the juices flowing. Plus, level modding is so underrated. Anyway, rate, review, you know the drill, let's get to spelunking. BDS, signing off.
The Nyx Avatar
WIND/Machine-Type Synchro Effect/Level 11/3000 ATK/2900 DEF Lore: 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monstersThe battle position of monsters on the field cannot be changed, except by card effects. Once per turn if this card is in face-up Attack Position: You can destroy 1 card in your hand and 1 card in your opponent's hand, then if both of those destroyed cards were monsters, you can Special Summon 1 of those destroyed monsters, and if you do, change this card's battle position. Once per turn, during either player's turn, you can: Change the battle position of 1 face-up monster on the field, also negate its effects until the End Phase. First off: I think the term you're looking for is discard. The battle position of monsters on the field cannot be changed, except by card effects. Once per turn if this card is in face-up Attack Position: You can discard 1 card in your hand and 1 card in your opponent's hand, then if both of those discarded cards were monsters, you can Special Summon 1 of those monsters, and if you do, change this card's battle position. So this is essentially a Level 11 beatstick that can potentially give you a monster Summon and requires generic materials. I'd say it's fair. LIGHT/Fairy-Type Tuner Effect/Level 7/2200 ATK/1800 DEF Lore: If the Levels of all face-up monsters on the field equal exactly 7: You can Special Summon this card (from your hand.) Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can pay 1000 LP, then declare a number from 1 to 10; make the Levels of all face-up monsters on the field become the declared number, also you cannot Fusion, Synchro or Xyz Summon monsters for the rest of this turn. Cannot Fusion, Synchro or Xyz Summon monsters using this card on the field as a Material, except LIGHT monsters. How very specific. You need a total of Level 7, and even when you do, you need to give up 1000 Life Points, are forced to declare a Level, and can't even Summon from your Extra Deck. This card isn't worth the effort at all.
Black D'Sceptyr
OH SH- Excuse me, I need to take Altered Life Spark out back. That was the old one. ...and now I've made a rotten pun in addition. My day in super special cardmaking is NOT going well. Look for the redux. Son of a-badly worded one card and submitted an entirely screwed up version of the second. Forgive me, they have both been fixed.
The Nyx Avatar
Alright. This is much better. The restriction is fair enough, and it's nice that the Level manipulation effect is "once per turn", rather than upon Summon.
readyeddy
Really creative! it'll be cool if you made an archetype around this type of control deck.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Really creative! it'll be cool if you made an archetype around this type of control deck. Welcome to YCM. Please note that within Custom Cards, we have something called the Advanced Clause. (You may read the specifics of this in the section rules). But otherwise, you need to write at least 60 words explaining your opinion on the cards. It's fine to say they're cool, but can you point out any particular things you like? -----I'll give some CnC on your cards later on.
