Even though Konami's buttered them too much via Blue-Eyes and the dimensional dragons among other things, voting Dragon as favorite for now. (Then again, a lot of my post milestones are Dragons anyway, so...)

 

Other types are more/less neutral, except maybe Warrior, but I don't know.

Even though my Waifu is a Fiend (which is probs my 2nd or 3rd favourite type), my favourite type is also Dragon, it's no wonder that a 3rd of the avis I have used on here are dragons.

It may be surprising but I really like Aqua and Thunder. Mostly because Water and Electric are my favorite elements (even if not my favorite Pokemon types, yes, it's weird).

Not sure which more...probably Aqua overall.

Machines for me. I like them since Ancient Gears, then Machinas, Ally of Justice (even if they have an awful power level) some Genex (like Turbo and Locomotion), Shekhinaga and Merkabah. Also, they aren't exactly my favorites but ABCs and Cyber Dragon Infinity currently have presence in the meta, and that's a plus.

Spellcasters are a close second with Shaddolls, Aleister and Spellbreaker of the Ice Barrier.

For my third one... I guess Fairies because of a few monsters like Artifacts, Seraphinite and Spirit of the Fall Wind. Or maybe that's mainly because I want WIND/Fairy to become a relevant thing.

The first cards I ever bought were Starter Deck: Pegasus. 

 

My nine year old self used to spend his $8.50 monthly allowance on a couple PSV packs just to pull it, as it would happen I eventually did against the odds and will always have the glowing memory of that purple (not just trap-violet, real deep bluey purple!) monstrosity that shined in all the right places with the complimentary-coloured name and the barely readable effect text and the oh-so-many eyes! I drew it in pencil a few times. Those were the days!

A Psychic deck was the first deck I tried to build (aside from the Zombie World Structure Deck) because I pulled a Thought-Ruler Archfiend and Psychic Overload from some The Duelist Genesis packs, so it has a lot of nostalgia for me. I still use a Psychic deck at locals occasionally using Overdrive Teleporter and Kozmos.

It's been a long time since I really played the game (I used to play the app version and my friend was helping me create a good deck), but I've always liked using mostly Fiend-type monsters. I usually use them with a combination of trap cards that drain the opponent's life points over time. Lesser Fiend was always one of my favorite cards, for some unknown reason. Other than Fiend-types, I'll also often use Warriors and a few Spellcasters.
