(2) Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 “Zoodiac” monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it, but its effects are negated, also it cannot be used as an Xyz Material.

Pretty meh effect, but it can contribute as detach fodder so as a 1-of it's fine considering. In a pure variant it can revive Thoroughblade or Viper for extra damage.

Yeah, I don't see any big applications for this card either; it can also provide fodder for Triangle, I guess. If it didn't negate the effect, then you could do fun plays like reviving a Viper and attaching it to a Zoodiac with its effect.

Somewhat similar, saw a guy running Cat+lv2 tuner for synchron acess on the deck, could make n'tss too. Laddering through Coral should pay off

Ah, I see. I thought "using as Xyz Material" referred to using it for a proper Xyz Summon, but it's missing the "for a Xyz Summon" or a similar clause so yeah, it should apply to effects that turns the monster into a Xyz material, too.

Eh, I wouldn't call a chainable +1200 attack bad. It's just slow. As someone on the discord pointed out, Lyca will mainly be used as an ender for the combos, since it's more or less better than ending with Dracia specifically when going 2nd.

Uh, I said earlier that if Lyca didn't negate the effect, then you could revive Viper and attach it to a Zoodiac Xyz with its effect, then Azuriena corrected me with that it still wouldn't be possible because of the "cannot be used as Xyz Material" clause anyway.

 

Reviving Viper and attaching it with its effect during the opponent's turn sounds like a great play, though.

I like how applications for this card keep showing up. I take back what I stated in my first post in this thread. Even if the stun wasn't temporary, it can still be used for promising plays.

Also, it occurred to me that you could revive a Drancia and attach a material to it through Tigress, the Trap and the second effect of Triangle, although that falls more on the situational side.
