So Konami remembered that non-Link ED exist too and made stuff for them.

 

First one gives stuff the Assault BW treatment with Tuner status, so make of that as you will. Ladder Synchro much?

 

Second one just walls once and that's it. (Guess it's also another target for Lyriluscs or something if they want to, but...)

So Battlemech is basically a Synchro laddering too. I'm not a fan of these kind of playstyles nor I'm knowledgeable on them, so IDK what to say about it. At the very least it can directly ladder into a Synchro4~5. Also I noticed it's a Tin monster, and with Tin Goldfish and Tin Archduke, I have always thought they were subject to get "Tin" support eventually; if they ever do, this card would also get to support; this is just something to keep in mind xD

 

Disdainful Bird... it's just for getting a couple of safe turns, huh; I guess it works as an alternate defensive option to Slacker Magician. And yeah, it may have some interactions with Luscinias, but I would have to check them to tell exactly what they can do with this that they cannot do with the Luscinia Xyzs.

I was hoping that the Level 3 Synchro would give me a good reason to use Alien Grey in Aliens, but it doesn't (as far as I can tell). No worries though, the card is amazing otherwise as it allows you to ressurect Coral Dragon and Accel Synchro Summon Crystron Phoenix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Without using a Links Monster!! I just know that it's going to lead to some awesome combos.

 

It's sad that it's probably going to take ages to come to the TCG though...

 

EDIT: I'm a noob. I didn't realise it's a Tuner itself. Still a cool card?

Synchro is pretty neat, being a Tuner makes the Summon not so powerful since you would still need a non-Tuner to do something, but if you have the right cards, it can be a pretty great card.

 

Xyz Monster is ok, another way to protect, Winged Beast is fun for Lyrilusc, but that it has no ATK/DEF is kind of lame. Wish it could gather more than just 2 Xyz Materials, that would make it more interesting to me.

Disdainful Bird of Paradise is just a lesser version of Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale which is generic. :\

 

I like Battlemech though.

Wish the Synchro wasn't a Tuner and didn't negate the Tuner's effect. It'd be able to come out off of a Level 1 and Resonator, then it'd be able to revive that Resonator and gain LP and ladder into a 5.

 

I guess it depends on the size of Tuners. It can bring out the bigger ones like Coral Dragon or that dragon hunger girl vanilla with 2300/3000, of help fill up the requirements for Red Dragon Tyrant, which easier access to a field nuke is always welcomed.

Probably not for a while, though I think someone made a CaC requiring those materials recently. (Or EXFO might throw a curveball and give us one, which I highly doubt)

 

But yeah, the Xyz is kinda meh; blanket effect immunity is nice, but then it just gets run over afterwards in battle afterwards. Being able to use more than 2 mats would help too, so it can actually be useful in the long term after it uses its effect once. Looking at LLs, there's no reason to run this over their Xyz in there.
