Alright, time to make the poor man's version of Dialga.

Weight - 430 lb [195 kg]
Stats - 90 / 120 / 90 / 80 / 90 / 90 [bST 560]
Notable moves - Iron Head, Dragon Claw, Outrage, Iron Tail, Brick Break, Earthquake, Stone Edge

I can try to whip up art / sprites for some of these later, although my sprites will probably end up being splices because I'm not all that good

Name - Quassar
Type - Psychic / Ghost
Ability - Pressure / Analytic / Telepathy (HA)
Height - 5'1" / 1.5 m
Weight - 87.1 lbs / 39.5 kg
Stats (HP / Atk / Def / SpA / SpD / Spe [Total]) - 46 / 107 / 50 / 114 / 62 / 121 [bST - 500]
Notable Moves - Zen Headbutt, Phantom Force, Shadow Sneak, Blaze Kick, Meteor Mash, Flare Blitz, Play Rough, Rock Slide, Sucker Punch, Psychic, Psyshock, Shadow Ball, Hex, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Charge Beam, Dazzling Gleam, Moonblast, Dark Pulse, Energy Ball, Flash Cannon, Focus Blast, Future Sight, Icy Wind, Swords Dance, Calm Mind, Agility, Light Screen, Reflect, Moonlight, Destiny Bond, Thunder Wave, Will-o-Wisp, Pain Split, Healing Wish, Wish, Magic Coat, Psycho Shift, Skill Swap, Trick Room
Description - Psychic Space Quagga. It would probably have a cosmic black main body with bright purple stripes that fade to white. The lower body of the Pokemon is also white, and the cosmic parts of its body fade into this.

A cosmic glass canon, it can choose between physical attacking with Swords Dance and priority or special sweeping with a higher base attack and better coverage but weaker set-up in Calm MInd. Either way you have access to a pretty large movepool for coverage, with special having the largest pool to work with. It sits at a really good speed tier of 121. The main weakness of this mon is, outside of its fragility, is its mediocre base attacking stats. It can boost its power with Analytic, but it would have to force things out to fully abuse that.

Gargator

Rock

Stamina / Strong Jaw (Water Absorb)

Height: 19'2" / 5.76 m

Weight: 312 lbs / 141 kg

Stats: 555 total

HP: 69

ATK: 153

DEF: 117

Sp. ATK: 15

Sp. DEF: 63

SPD: 138

Egg Group:

Monster, Water 1

Dex Entry:

This predator lies in wait along the beds of lakes and rivers, often for days at a time. A Pokémon unfortunate enough to be in reach when it does finally move is usually torn apart and eaten so quickly it does not have time to feel fear.

An aggressive and unexpectedly fast physical attacker for a Rock Type, this Pokémon makes for a solid sweeper, coming equipped with ano absurdly wide physical- and status-based movepool that means that its most impressive use is for breeding- almost every Pokémon in both its Egg Groups has access to an egg move it can't get without a Gargator father. That said, it's also a solid battler that can run just about any set there is that doesn't require a Special move- the only one it gets is Ancient Power (which it always has at first, because it needs it to evolve).

You don't find it in the wild, but it occasionally appears in rematch teams against certain opponents- Grant and Roark both have one, with entirely different sets.

Physically, it's a scruffy, massive gray-brown alligator, with large predatory eyes and ridges of solid obsidian poking out of its back. It also has a fringe mane, similar to Tyrantrum. Its shiny form is sandy yellow, and its spine ridges turn bright red. Male and female Gargator can be determined by their eye color- males' eyes are a piercing yellow, and females have a more muted orange.

It must have an Ability that counteracts one or more of its Type weaknesses (eg, a pure Grass-Type with Thick Fat, or a Water/Flying-Type with Motor Drive).

Make it a pseudo-Legendary branch evolution (basically, a pseudo with two different final evolutions, based on a factor of your choosing- but you only have to design one)

That's fine; honestly, I didn't intend for this to require sprites/art in the first place (we are not CAP and never will; least by their terms). Provided they look close enough, then that's all that matters. Maybe ask Sleepy if she's free enough to do drawings.

At this point in time, think we generated more custom 'mons than CAP has produced during its entire tenure.

====

Anyway, reserving this post so I can do Draco's stuff without getting ninja'd; will be edited.

EDIT: Here you go.

Name - Contrargal

Type - Psychic

Ability - Spectral Reflect

(Increases Sp.Atk when hit with a Ghost move, also cannot receive damage from those moves.)

Height - 4'7 [140 cm]

Weight - 84 lb [38.1 kg]

Stats - 62 / 56 / 64 / 116 / 104 / 108  [bST 510]

Notable moves - Psychic, Psyshock, Shadow Ball, Recover, Dark Pulse, Dazzling Gleam, Aura Sphere

Appearance - A feline-like Pokemon that has fur patterned like a professor's coat and tassels around its body.

Something like this, I guess.

=====

Also RIP this for making Gengar / Mimikyu semi-useless unless they carry coverage moves. Dark and Bug can still trash it, but former can be dealt with via Aura Sphere (or even partner). Speed tier is kinda meh though; misses the big 110 one, but can speed tie the Swords of Justice. tl;dr, switch this into something weak to Ghost (even another Psychic), have this soak up the move and proceed to bash heads with its +1 SpAtk from base 116.

[Right, and I technically forgot about the pseudo-legendary part, but...]

[spoiler=Swiftxie]

Swiftxie (Swift + Pixie)

Fairy / Flying

Mach Pixie Pokemon

Base stats: 560

General stat spread: High Atk (~140), High Spe (~120), below average HP

General description: Classical small winged fairy, but with an plane pilot theme: the face and eyes are colored in such way that looks like she is wearing aviator glasses, and the design of the wings make them look more like a cape than the usual 2 or 4 insect-like wings.

Abilities:

Reckless | Compound Eyes

Hidden: Pixilate

Notable moves:

Play Rough

Brave Bird

Acrobatics

Hurricane

Flare Blitz

Wild Charge

Mach Punch

Sky Uppercut

Heat Wave

U-Turn

Zen Headbutt

Return

Swift

Quick Attack

Double-Edge

Defog

Tailwind

Roost

Sweet Kiss

Lovely Kiss

Event:

Head Smash - Hasty nature - Reckless

Extreme Speed - Quirky nature - Pixilate

Role:

Physical sweeper: can go all out with Reckless + Life Orb in exchange of durability due to its relatively low base HP, or hit more safely with scary Pixilated Quick Attack and Return. A build around Compound Eyes allows it to use moves like Hurricane and Lovely Kiss more reliably, the former to break through physical walls.

Next:

Total base stats: 530

Must have an ability that allows it to take an alternate form during combat. You are free to pick the trigger: can be move-based like Aegislash's, weather-based like Castform's and Cherrim's, HP-based like Minior's and Darmanitan's, or come with a new one. The typing of the new form can change. If possible, try to keep both original and alternate forms viable.

Armonk

Type: Calm Form: Psychic/Ice // Fury Form: Dragon/Fighting

Ability: Mercurial - This Pokémon switches to Fury Form if it uses a physical attack, or Calm Form if it uses a special attack. Switching forms also raises one stat at random, and lowers one opponent's stat at random (the same stat across all opposing team members, in a multi battle)

Height: Calm Form - 5'7" / 1.70 m // Fury Form - 7'5" / 2.26 m

Weight: 120 lbs / 54.4 kg

Stats:

530 total

HP: 80

ATK: 30 // 165

DEF: 40 // 120

Sp. ATK: 120 // 15

Sp. DEF: 170 // 30

SPD: 90 // 120

Egg Group:

Human-like, Field // Human-like, Draconic (yes, even its Egg Group changes with form, as do its level-up moves, although the latter can be cheated with the Move Relearner)

Dex Entry:

These Pokémon are ruled completely by their unstable emotions. Their joys are boundless, their sorrows are unfathomable, and their rages cannot be contained by mountains.

That's right, if you use a Special move, Armonk switches to (and maintains) Calm Form, and using any Physical move triggers (and, again, maintains) Fury Form. This makes move selection very strategic with Armonk, as you can switch between a Special or Physical attacker/wall combo practically at will, and its move pool actually complements this with immense diversity in selection for either. Some will run it purely for Calm Form, some exclusively for Fury Form, and some will take advantage of the fact that it has the ability to switch back and forth for some unique strategies, or just to take advantage of randomized boosts/drops (although it can be any stat, including evasion, accuracy, or even critical hit chance).

Armonk's Calm Form looks nearly like a blue-white Buddhist monk/yeti thing, complete with fur that looks highly similar to the robes. Its Fury Form, by contrast, is the very definition of a draconic humanoid, with long claws and extended fangs, and a new Spyro-esque color palette. Interestingly, the shiny form inverts the color scheme of the forms, making the Calm Form's fur orange and exposed skin purple, and turning its Fury Form into a wingless Stardust Dragon.

Make a Pokémon that takes inspiration from the whiptail scorpion (which lacks a stinger, and instead sprays its venom from its hose-like tail), without being Bug/Poison.

Name - Scorfume
Type - Poison / Fairy
Ability - Sweet Scent / Illuminate / Aroma Veil (HA)
Height - 1'10" / 0.6 m
Weight - 18 lbs / 8.2 kg
Stats (HP / Atk / Def / SpA / SpD / Spe [Total]) - 65 / 75 / 55 / 115 / 90 / 100 [bST - 500]
Notable Moves - Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Dazzling Gleam, Acid Spray, Venoshock, Dark Pulse, Flash Cannon, Focus Blast, Solar Beam, Clear Smog, Charge Beam, Infestation, Poison Jab, Lunge, X-Scissor, Night Slash, Shadow Claw, Dig, Tail Glow, Taunt, Swords Dance, Moonlight, Morning Sun, Light Screen, Aromatherapy, Soak, Gastro Acid, Acid Armor, Toxic Spikes, Spikes
Description - A hybrid between a whiptail scorpion and perfume. It is a dark purple with bright, glow in the dark pink liquid visible through its transparent abdomen, which resembles both a perfume bottle. The abdomen compresses when it sprays poison from its gland connected to the back of it, and is made of a strange jelly-like material.

A surprising little sweeper with Tail Glow and a decent enough movepool. While its abilities aren't great, at least Aroma Veil keeps it from being Taunted while its trying to set up, which is nice. The main thing holding it back is that it is very frail, only really being able to take a hit specially. It is also not all that fast to begin with, only sitting at 100 base speed. Still, it can dent things really hard after a Tail Glow.

Lets try an Ice-type (with sub-type of your choice) that gets Snow Warning. Should probably also have a secondary ability, but the main thing is an at least decent hail setter.

Weight - 14 lbs / 6.3 kg

Stats - 60 HP / 90 Atk / 70 Def / 110 SpA / 70 SpD / 130 Spe = Total 530

Notable Moves (Italics indicates STAB) - Ice Beam, Blizzard, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Flare Blitz, Ice Shard, Solarbeam, Power Gem, Crunch, Flash Cannon, Focus Blast, Vacuum Wave, Rapid Spin, Explosion, Taunt, Will-O-Wisp, Morning Sun, Iron Defense, Power Trick, Hail, Sunny Day, Aurora Veil, Stealth Rock, Memento

Description - A ball-shaped Pokemon covered in icy rocks with two solar panels on its sides.

A decently good lead that can help set up hail/sun, set rocks up and then either Explode or try to annoy your opponent by taunting and burning everything, while Oblivious sacrifices the utility of instant weather by making it unable to be taunted.

Appearance - Dragonfly-esque Pokemon with similar style wings and blue-eyes with no eye covers. (Should kinda resemble Flygon, but not really).

So, we end up with a bulky attacker 'mon. This is probably what Flygon would kill for, well, bar swapping some stats around.

Maligeist

Type: Ghost/Dark

Ability: Technician/Infiltrator (Huge Power)

Height: Variable

Weight: Variable

Stats: 567 total (Medium Size)

HP: 81

ATK: 123

DEF: 111

Sp. ATK: 45

Sp. DEF: 78

SPD: 99

Egg Group:

Amorphous

Dex Entry:

Maligeist are believed to follow any and all kinds of tragedy. They enjoy staying in places where large numbers of people have died, and enjoy tormenting anyone who finds the places they inhabit.

Maligeist, similar to Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist, has several different "sizes", which translate to stats- the Extra Small variant has a BST of 537, up to the Extra Large 597. Notably, each successive size increase has 8 more base Attack and 7 more Defense, giving full-size Maligeist a respectable 139 base Attack. However, Maligeist sizes are entirely dependent on the number of fainted Pokémon are in your party (Extra Small appear regardless of your party, and Extra Large can only show up if you have 4 or more fainted Pokémon in your party, and even then it's a 20% chance), and even bred ones are subject to this rule.

As for how they battle, Maligeist are brutal beatdown specialists, with a solid movepool and a devastating STAB Sucker Punch. They don't have too many options in the way of setup or status, giving them a pure sweeper role, but they do have some entry hazards in case you feel like some Roar spam.

Maligeist are actually black and purple phantasms with yellow eyes, almost resembling the face you see in the animation for Scary Face, with a body similar to Despair from the Dark if you know that Yu-Gi-Oh monster. Their shiny form makes them red and turns their eyes black, for what that's worth.

Give us a "trio master" (Regigas, Ho-oh, Lugia) that is at least part Steel.

Type - Dragon/Steel

Moves can be used, regardless of the target's abilities, also moves used by this Pokemon cannot miss.

Stat Spread - 100 / 150 / 100 / 150 / 100 / 100 [700 BST]

Notable moves - Iron Head, Iron Tail, Dragon Claw, Outrage, Poison Jab, Close Combat, Superpower, Toxic, Earthquake, Dragon Pulse, Draco Meteor, Aura Sphere, Stone Edge, Waterfall, Night Slash, Crunch, Heavy Slam, Soulrising Fall (130 BP / 5 PP / Steel-type / 85% accuracy / works identical to Blue Flare / Bolt Strike)

Dex Entry:

Possessing a slow, humorous gait, these Pokémon are often assumed to be rather stupid. However, they are incredibly good puzzle-solvers, being able to find and consume most Bug-Type Pokémon with relative ease.

Your general-purpose mixed wall, it doesn't boast anything too special in this regard, except for a bizarre schizophrenic movepool that gives it a lot of very powerful moves you wouldn't expect it to have (how many pure Water-Types can learn Brave Bird?), and its frankly absurd rarity. Think R/S/E Feebas, except that it only gets 2 tiles in a water route so long that it would make even Hoenn cry.

Hilariously, it practically looks like a Psyduck's head and feet stapled onto a Bidoof's body, except a bright, uncomfortable pale blue color, with a pink tail. Its shiny, hilariously, is gold-and-black.

Pulstadt, and make it a pseudo-legendary with a Typing designed to take down the other pseudo-Legendaries.

I really should stick to keeping this geared for one type of attacking prowess, but at least you have options for how you can go about it; focus on physical attacking or go the special route. (Or you can go mixed and sacrifice some defenses.)

Antaeumo

Type: Ground/Fighting

Ability: Solid Rock / Rock Head (Gravel Skin - Any STAB move this Pokémon uses restores HP equal to half the amount of damage inflicted. This is doubled in a sandstorm.)

Height: 8' / 2.37 m

Weight: 1100 lbs. / 499.4 kg

HP: 150

ATK: 130

DEF: 95

Sp. ATK: 20

Sp. DEF: 95

SPD: 55

Egg Group:

Human-like, Monster

Dex Entry:

With its heavy body and large, powerful hands, it is renowned as an unchallenged grappler. Particularly powerful ones pick up and throw Tyranitar that get too close to their homes.

Welcome to getting walled by the slowest sweeper ever. Yeah, with its huge HP and massive attack, plus its decent defenses, Antaeumo is practically a boss fight in and of itself. Couple this with its two defensive abilities, and you're forced into trying to OHKO it if you want to make any progress fighting the damned thing. Place this thing on a sand team with its Hidden Ability, and give it a solid Fighting and/or Ground move, and it's basically untouchable. Fun fact, its Ability functions based on its current Type, so if it becomes Water, Grass, or Ghost-Type with Soak, Forest's Curse, or Trick or Treat, moves of those Types will then trigger Gravel Skin, and it does get physical moves of all those Types.

Physically, it's a orange-brown cyclopean orc with massive hands and feet, a skirt that looks like it's made of dry, dead grass, and banded dark brown stripes over its massive belly. Its shiny form turns its body a deep bloodred, makes its skirt more greenish, and turns its belly stripes blue, as well as turning its dirty yellowish orc tusks a clean, bright white.

Yes, I did base it off of Antaeus, the wrestler Hercules fought that was the son of Gaea and Poseidon, who was literally invincible while he stood with his feet firm.

Make a counterpart version exclusive to Antaeumo. Remember, one counterpart is always weak to the other (eg, Misdreavus and Houndour), but they typically have similar BST.

Isn't Gravel Skin a bit too OP? Wouldn't be surprised if the Pokemon ended up in Ubers. Unless... it only doubles the HP recovered/drained, but not the damage?

I don't really get what you mean by counterpart. I assume you mean version-exclusive pairings, but those don't always have types that beat the other (e.g. Skarmory-Mantine in Gold/Silver, Mawile-Sableye in Ruby/Sapphire).

By the way, it would be cool if the Pokemon were listed in the opening thread, including their typings, to see if there is any trend in the type entries. Pretty sure there is a tendency towards the Fairy Type. Sorting out the Pokemon in their possible tiers would be even cooler, but I know that's not as simple as it sounds.

Yeah, it was designed to heal for the amount of damage inflicted at a 1-to-1, making it just grant annoying HP regeneration on a turn by turn basis.

Counterparts between versions typically only appear in one another's location in the other version, much like box legendaries, or certain other paired legendaries (ie, the Lati twins- only one appears per game, not including events, until I think Gen 6). Basically, you get one or the other, depending on which version you're playing, but always only one, and usually in the same damned spot.

Dex Entry:

It has armor so thick that it generally isn't known what the Pokémon inside looks like. Occasionally, older ones wind up blind from their armor growing over their eyes.

Well, it's no Shuckle, but the fact that it learns Pain Split, Recover, Curse, and Gyro Ball by leveling gives a solid indication of what it does. You're mostly just stalling for time and chipping away at your opponent's HP, and healing yourself with Recover or Pain Split if things ever get too dicey.

It looks almost like a knight's helmet, complete with bright orange plume, with uncomfortable metallic spider legs poking out of it. When it gets hit, the visor flips open to reveal its eyes. Its shiny form gives it a rusty look, and changes its plume to a sickly sea-green.

Make a Pokémon with 1 or more uncomfortable quad-weaknesses, but absolutely god-tier stats (not required to be a Legendary, or even a pseudo, but it should be something really dangerous).

Also, here's that chart:

A fast and powerful Pokemon that takes the Fire / Rock typing and uses it properly. It has a great amount of weaknesses, but it compensates for these weaknesses by raw power and speed.

Let's go with a Normal / Something type combo that isn't Ghost

I'll see what I can do. Maybe link them to their respective posts, so easier to see source stuff, and less text to add to the OP or wherever I add stuff.

Anyway....

Dex Entry:

Aggressively territorial and selfish, they refuse to share much of anything. One raised by a trainer is liable to electrocute its trainer's friends with over 8000 volts as a deterrent.

As a solid mixed attacker, its primary advantage in battle comes from its wide disparity between Abilities, giving rise to several different sets one can run, and a large enough movepool to accommodate all of them. However, given how frail it is, one might just prefer to run it purely as a sweeper.

It looks very much like a gold-and-violet greyhound, with large triangular ears not unlike a bat. Males have shaggier, more zigzag-laden fur, while females look more well-groomed. Its tail is uncomfortably long, and its isle animation shows that it is prehensile, curling and uncurling like it's grabbing at something. Its shiny form turns blue and white, giving the males an appearance not unlike an actual bolt of lightning.

Fire/Bug type, and give it a fun gimmick (form changes, a weird and funky unique ability, a unique move, etc)
