That fire dragon was sooooo misleading as a cover card.  A spellcaster archetype with more lore related to Endymion and co.?  I'm down for it.

Gotta love how you can see the development of spell counters.  The Tris Magistus/Theologia Magistus look like prototypes to spell counters.

Also, is that card in the middle of Theologia Magistus "Legendary Flame Lord"?  I mean, the whole thing looks like a ritual, but the person has different clothing.  Maybe expect a retrain of LFL as a Magistus monster in the next booster set?

As hyped as I am for the lore of this, I can't say the playstyle interests me.  It has another set of extra deck monsters that you don't mind putting in the GY (so they're safe from Extra Deck destruction shenanigans) but most of their plays are Battle Phase-oriented, and without starting with young Endymion/certain 2-card combos, they might have a difficult time getting their plays started.

Tying Invoked (and by extension Prophecies), Endymion and Witchcrafters is cool and all, but damn sure I am confused. Aleister and Endymion look younger in their Magistus selves and yet... Verre looks older? Just... what is going on?

Magistus is the past, but for Verre apparently people figure 2 theories:

1. Anime trope of older/more powerful character looking younger >> 1000 year old loli trope.

2. The Magistus is Verre's mother.

We may get more information if/when we get the card that shows her interacting with the Xyz.
