EHERO Andrew
Ok. Based on PLAYABILITY, I think Stardust Dragon is better. Stardust is like the best anti-Gladiator card and it can give you a huge advantage in a duel. I once played a Big City Synchro deck (using Stardust Dragon) in a HL and I beat a GB deck (my opponent even used Gyzarus). Red Dragon Archfiend is a very risky monster to use. During the End Phase, it will destroy all your Defense Position monsters like Spirit Reaper or Marshmallon or DH-Defender and any monsters that didn't attack. Junk Raver
Having now used my Synchro Deck for a few weeks, i can say with Duel Experience that Stardust Dragon is alot better than Red Archfiend. However, as a point of Synchro's, you use whichever you need at the time, so in that respect, they are both as good as each either. But on general playability, Stardust has more uses. Stardust has inbuilt card effect protection, and is nifty in stopping opponent's card effects, its only true downfall is his 2500 ATK, which, if facing a GB deck, is lame against Heraklinos, unless your willing to waste an equip card or use the Counselor Lily combo. I only ever use Red Dragon Archfiend in 2 Situations: 1. When i need to destroy a stall monster (Marshmallon, Spirit Reaper).2. When my opponent has more Defence Monsters. Stardust for me has more uses, and in General, is more effcient.

Guest PikaPerson01
It's attack might be less then Red Dragon's, but it more then makes up for it with a much better effect.

Purple Dinosaur
Stardust for sure. He's more valuable than Red Dragon Archfiend. But Red Dragon Archfiend is a DARK monster and has 500 more ATK than Stardust. But I think Stardust is better in everything besides that. And yes, you may say lolatk. But it's not always. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Archfiend is meant only for what DJ said, but also if for some reason you need that extra ATK to finish the game off. Otherwise, it's a waste of time to summon him.
Mr. Judgment Dragon
Stardust is better. Effect is more versatile and useful and Red Dragon Archfiend can get negated by Stardust. Stardust wins.
Phantom Roxas
Stardust is better. Only weakness is it's ATK, and that's not saying much.
