Crow™
Does anyone else think that Konami has abandoned /AMs too?I think they're cool and Konami could have done so much more with them and made them more playable.Anyone else have any ideas? Skyfi
Nah, they went to far, first we get what is supposed to be super Powerful cards called Synchros's but then Konami has to go "Lets make something that will make the game even more Ridiculous" For the point Konami shouldnt make Idea while High. Guest Star
Assault Mode monsters are really cool, and I've had success using them, but they're not good on a competitive level, and it is likely that we won't see any more of them.

~ P O L A R I S ~
They're like Neos Fusions. Better off forgotten. At least with these Konami opted out of them sooner. >_> Wish I could say the same for Neos.

Crow™
Stardust Dragon/Assault is worth it IMO.Stardust/AM is definetly the best /AM. :)but they're not good on a competitive levelThat's the main problem with them. Konami could have done better or made a diffrent variety of /AMs (Using Synchros that are not as type specific such as Arcanite Magician or Hyper Psych.) I think that if the normal Assault cards (like Assault Beast etc.) had been usable for cards like A-Teleport or usable for A-Mercanary they could have been more playable. Guest Supreme Gamesmaster
Can anyone say "anime-bait?" That's what Buster Mode is. It was created for the same reason as Toon World. Thank hell and heaven they stopped making them; we do not want a repeat of NEX or Toons.

CrabHelmet
Buster Modes were a terrible idea in that the effort required to Summon them condemns them to be nigh-useless unless their effects are along the lines of "You win the duel", in which case they require list attention. Crow™
I think it's a really good idea to make advanced versions of cards. These cards would have been accepted more if more general/commonly used Synchros were given /AMs.I would have also picked:-Dark Strike Fighter-Goyo Guardian- Any of the syncro-warriors>> Blackwing Armor Master << (main choice ^_^)
Guest PikaPerson01
These cards would have been accepted more if more general/commonly used Synchros were given /AMs. Because what an overpowered, generic card needs is the ability to become more overpowered? Flash Flyer - Sakura
I guess Konami gave up on them, they're not playable. BOOM! Big appearance in CRMS and what is RGBT? NO MORE! -hard to bring out, (I can't really say this 'cuz I never use one yet (I have Stardust's one). Only made 4 Synchros, why don't they make some for other Effect Monsters... Phantom Roxas
Can anyone say "anime-bait?" That's what Buster Mode is. It was created for the same reason as Toon World. Thank hell and heaven they stopped making them; we do not want a repeat of NEX or Toons. So that's why they gave Doomkaiser Dragon, Arcanite Magician, Hyper Psychic Blaster /Assault Modes. CF/AM doesn't count, since he's a TCG-exclusive. I think we might see a return of them when the Fifth Dragon is revealed.

Sleepy
They can seem fun for some people, but the effort to get them out is not worth it.The Synchros are good enough by themselves and don't require space in the main Deck that has the possibility of becoming a dead draw, in which case, they need you to spend even more space of your Deck trying to prepare to situations like that. Take for example, Arcanite Magician:he usually destroys the opponent's field by himself barely loosing ATK, why would you use the /AM version that requires you to run the Trap, the /AM monster, and support to help that..when you can run what you really need to make a decent Deck fun, cards seem like fun (unconfirmed, I've never played with them before)
jackmen10
I didn't like the whole Synchro concept to begin with, I miss the old Yu-Gi-Oh! ...Don't shun me!*cries in corner*

They are summoned from your deck by activating the trap card, Assault Mode Activate. Also, if a /AM is destroyed you can summon the original Synchro from the Grave.Hope that clears it up :)
