"Ngh! The kid's better then i expected, i'll give him that." Bret drew and smiled. "But he's not good enough to take down my Zombies. I'll activate my Call of The Mummy spell card. Now if i don't controll a Zombie monster i can summon one to my side of the field. So come forth Despair from The Dark!" (2800) Now destroy Junk Warrior!" The giant claw reigned down but Athrun wasn't worried.

 

"Trap time. I Activate my Scrap Iron Scarecrow! Now i can negate one of your attacks." Bret grinded his teeth together.

 

"I'll end there!" He snarled.

Athrn drew. "I'll activate the spell card Monster Reborn. Now i'll bring back my good buddy Junk Synchron. Then i'll tune him and Junk Warrior together." Bret Wtached as another Synchro summoning was about to happen. "Synchro summon, Stardust Dragon!!! (2500)" The dragon roared. Bret smiled.

 

"Doesn't matter! My monster still has 300 points on it." Athrun sighed.

 

"You don't get it do you? It isn't about attack points. If you have the right cards you can win no matter what you have, and it looks like you'll learn that the hard way! Stardust, attack his monster!" The dragon fired the blast, but Bret laughed.

 

"You're an idiot. Your monster is gonna get destroyed." Just then Athrun revealed a face down.

 

"My trap card says otherwise. I'll use trap card Stardust Accelerator! Here's how it works. If Stardust attacks a monster with more attack then itself i can activate this card. He'll gain attack points equal to the combined attack of the monsters in my grave. So that's 900+1300+2300. If you don't know your math, that's and extra 4500 attack points! However i'll have to remove Stardust at my End Phase. However there won't be one for you!" (7000) Bret was dumbstruck. "Now finish it Stardust!!!" The dragons attack hit and Bret was blown off his feet and into the water behind him. Duel disk and all.

 

Athrun: 4000

Bret: 0000

Athrun loosk over and sees Garnet appearing. "Huh?! What are you doing here sis?" Suddenly Joanna ran up and hugged Athrun.

 

"That was amazing! Way to go Athrun!" Athrun blushed a bit.

 

"Heheh...thanks." The others where stunned.

 

"How did he beat Bret like that?"

 

"That kids amazing!" Another girl sitting under and umbrella looked over her sun glasses at Athrun.

 

"He's the one i want." She thought to herself.

"I got here ages ago, I just stood back, that's all," answered Garnet. "I was prepared to attack Bret if he dared to think of cheating, but you won fair and square." She suddenly did something she never did before and actually hugged her own brother. She muttered into his ear, "Looks like if I ever want to beat you in a duel I'll have to wait until you are old and need to put into a care home first."

Athrun smiled at his sister. "As long as i got this deck you ain't beating me at all. But thanks sis :)." Joanna smiled as well.

 

If you and Luke want to you guys can hang with us too. The more the merrier, and only Bret is a jerk. The rest of my friends are cool."
