Friend Codes are really important, but they only matter if you have Nintendo WFC. You and a friend can swap friend codes, and when you go down to the basement of a Pokemon Center, you'll find the Wi-Fi Room. Talk to a lady behind the counter and if your friend is connected to WFC at the same time you are, you can battle, trade, etc. with that friend. To enter Friend Codes and get your own code, you need a Pal Pad. To get a Pal Pad, go downstairs in the Pokemon Center and talk to the lady closest to the computer (PC). After talking to her a bit, she'll give you one. I hate EV training, it takes forever, even with the Macho Brace thing. The reward is pretty cool, though. I'll admit that. As for Chain Breeding, ugh. I spend hours trying to get a Pokemon with the right nature and right moves.
