~ P O L A R I S ~
Alright, so there's this sport called YGOball now. Apparently. It's a little pastime I made combining two of my favorite pastimes, YGO and hockey. What you have to do to play is make a team of six players, which would be YGO monster cards. Three attackers, two defenders, and one goalie. You cannot use duplicates of the same card. There's a Level cap of 36. Try to make all of your team one type, like Warrior, for example. Players with high ATK will be suitable for offense, their ATK will be added to your offensive total. A card chosen as an offensive player doesn't have their DEF counted towards anything. Players with high DEF will be suitable for Defense, their DEF will be added to your defensive total. A card chosen as a defensive player doesn't have their DEF counted towards anything. Here's an example of a team: [spoiler=Warriors]Total Level: 36Total Offense: 9200Total Defense: 7200Total Value: 16400 Offense: Destiny Hero - Dogma 8/3400 Road Warrior 8/3000Nitro Warrior 7/2800 Defense: Elemental Hero Rampart Blaster 6/2500 Chamberlain of the Six Samurai 3/2000 Goalie: Destiny Hero - Defender 4/2700 The teams play it out like soccer, trying to score on eachother, make passing plays, blocking shots, etc, all conducted by your hands and possibly an opponent's. In my version, first to 5 goals wins. Certain teams and players are superior to others based on their stats and personal biases. =) I shuffle through my IRL cards and try to find the best cards for my 21 teams based on each type to have them have the highest statistics I can possibly have them have. Tell me about any way in which you've enjoyed the use of their cards other than their intended purpose, and feel free to share any YGOball teams you've made. We can keep a little archive or something. They don't have to be IRL. Treat them as Decklists or something.
ROY
So how do you exactly score and such?
Thomas★Zero
also would this consider effects as if you were able to use them Stardust equals a Offencesive Deffender.
~ P O L A R I S ~
So how do you exactly score and such? Ah' date=' right, didn't elaborate on that all that much. One card attempts to fire a marble past the card in the net (I use two fairly spaced-out pencil crayons), the goalie and the shooter will be standing upright, the goalie will usually be held horizontally unless you dislike it or if it has terrible DEF. The marble will either be miraculously thwacked out by the goalie or it won't be, resulting in a point for the opposing team. Usually each team will have one active (held) player at a time, unless there's a pass or something. also would this consider effects as if you were able to use them Stardust equals a Offencesive Deffender. I tend not to play it like that, I just use ATK and DEF, but it's entirely possible to do if you wanted to. =)
Toffee.
It should be more like Duelist Kingdom, where you use "logic" to win. [spoiler=example]Goalie: BlockerAttackers: Dark Scorpion Burglers, Amphibian Beast, and Wolf AxeweilderDefenders: D-Hero Defender, Crystal Beast - Amber Mammoth Blocker and his multiple "parts" would be able to block any incomming shotDark Scorpion Burglers is 5 guys in 1Amphibian Beast has un-matchable speedWolf Axeweilder would constantly attack, and overwelm the OpponentsDefender is a walking brickwall, the Opponents would be cruched by his giant sizeAnd Amber mammoth is self explanitory. ~ P O L A R I S ~
What if one of the cards have ? as their ATK/DEF or both? I treat them as though they have 0 for each question mark' date=' since that's the default for cards with ? stats before boosts, so they don't tend to make the cut in my version. Also, I gonna try this out =D hooray :D It should be more like Duelist Kingdom' date=' where you use "logic" to win. Or use Berserk Dragon to kill everything in its path and score as many times as possible. That'd sorta break the game though, so I tend to not. Berserk Dragon's really good in this though, as it's 3500 for a LV8, which is extremely efficient. I'm also biased towards Berserk Dragon, so it's a little better than it probably would be, even though it's already really good.

Not great for their conditions so I tend to not use overly valuable cards. xD Labyrinth Wall for goalie.Because... It's a wall. I agree. Rock-Types always have great defensive line-ups. =o
