Does that burning watch have any point? (DISC on pyro clock)

Recommended Posts

can speed up Future fusions pace for FHD or other cards that require time to be used.

Most cards that count time count instances of specific Phases rather than turns, so Pyro Clock of Destiny does not affect them. Future Fusion, for example, counts Standby Phases, and as Pyro Clock of Destiny does not create an extra Standby Phase, it does not affect Future Fusion.

In fact, it actually interacts with very few cards. It makes Final Countdown win a turn sooner, but that's about all it can do.

You said it Crab.

The thing is pyro clock is terribly outclassed by other cards.

This moves the turn count by 1 but it doesn't stop your opponent from killing you. Now let's check threatening roar (or anything with a similar effect). It completely stops your opponent from winning unless they have something weird like exodia. This means you will get an extra turn after his, making final countdown go for 2 extra turn. Basic maths here YCM 2>1. Also, the extra turn gives you an extra draw, something you don't get from pyro clock. Plus, if you have something else like a deckoichi set or, my favorite Worm Links, you get even more cards.
