Basically with the bible, you can interpret anything out. Some people use it to defend communism, others anarchy (and yes you will find verses that come close to it), then others try to interpret nazi stuff out of it.

 

Same with other religions, even though Pagan religions for example don't use an official book for reference there have been groups who use the Pagan religion for racist causes.

First of all sunday ISN'T the day of rest. It is the first day of the week, as in the day when god created the sun. Technically the day of rest is saturday. A long time ago church used to be on saturday instead of sunday but the pope of that time changed it.

As aforementioned, the line in Leviticus was due to the primitive nature of Hebrew society, and the line in Romans was due to the writer seeking to distance Christians from those who followed the Roman faith. Genocide is, specifically, the killing of a group of people based on a common characteristic they all share. Making homosexuality a capital offense is genocide; anything less isn't.
