Concentration Duels

Recommended Posts

I really don't know if this is the right place. IDC.

How would this work? It would be very interesting. I hope it's not a

one-time thing, that'd seem like a waste and would be like a bad

repeat of the Paradox Brother's little maze game.

But how would this work? We'd definitely have no draw cards, very

little unchainables, cards like heavy storm might get concentration

only effects, it would be just as weird as the labyrinth duel, or Dungeon Dice monsters.

Anybody?

Sounds like ass.

So did every other Yu-Gi-Oh anime concept that wasn't a straight up 1-on-1 duel. This includes the Labyrinth with Yugi and Joey and the Paradox Bros, Dungeon Dice Monsters, any version of a Tag Duel and all it's derivatives (such as Jaden and Johan versus Yubel and Chazz versus those 4 or 5 duelists from the weird ice academy), Deck Masters, Capsule Monsters, dueling on motorcycles, the Shadow RPG, and Monster World.

Hell, even the actual card game is garbage.

Heavy Storm destroys about 40 cards on the field...

Gandora (as said above)= 24,000 damage...

Secret Barrel = 8000 damage...

Ceasefire = 20,000 damage...

Obelisk/Darklord Zerato/Yubel 2 are awesome.

Morphing Jar #2.... ummm...errr...hmmmm...

I wonder how Deck searchers work in here...

^more or less xD

I don't know about Light and Darkness Dragon's opinion on this..

I feel like the facedown cards should be treated more like the deck and not like the field. I mean, if you had to destroy all Spells and Traps on the field, you would see all your and your opponent's cards, and Field Nukes draw the game. If the facedown cards are treated as the deck, then only deck destruction gets rid of them.

What about cards that require discards, such as Lightning Vortex? What about cards that let you draw cards or interact with your hand? Are they just useless?

The original idea needs to be tweaked a bit, but that definitely seems fun.

That's actually how it works already. People talking about nukes ending the game do nothing. Cite: Anime, where a 30 card mill results in 30 cards being sent from the table.

They are both Deck and field in a weird way. Remember that in that episode, Yusei also tried to destroy half of that Deck with Restraint Release Wave (destroy all face-down Spell and Trap Cards).

So yes, it would do stuff to nuke the field.

Face-downs wouldn't be 'on the field' for the reason that if they were, the game turns into random lolnukes being instawin.

I understand that for the sake of balance, it shouldn't, but as I said before.

This card's effect was actually a viable option in the anime:

and it doesn't seem to target the Deck to me...

This would make people rage-quit:

CardShuffleDR1-EN-C-UE.jpg

Pay 300 Life Points to use this card's effect. Shuffle either your or your opponent's Deck. You can use this effect during your own turn' date=' once per turn.[/quote']

Good luck trying to remember where those cards are now
