I'm going to ignore the fact that counterability is not a valid enough excuse to say something is not broken.(still, take note of it) Then I'm going to say that there has always been tons of counters for this card, but the real problem is what this card can do when your opponent doesn't actually have such "counters"

The only say to force a rage-quit is to nuke everything, including the hand, then attack directly with this.

 

And in order to keep the lock, you must continue to summon Yata.

So in a way, its a double edged sword.

Honestly, D.D. Crow is a D.D.'ed counterpart of Yata, so everyone stop saying it's banned. You can still play 3 of it in a rather special way.

yata + CED = FFHLDR

 

i remember in the old days everyone had the same deck and combos with those two. heck, there was a point that whoever had the best draw already won. even if Yata was put to one he is a menace to your soul. I believe there was another combo with Yata that could do a lock down without the use of CED, but yata and CED was more effective.

First of all. This isn't an OTK. Second of all it is a 1-card "you win the duel if your opponent has no cards to stop it". This is banworthy even without the presence of field nukers and all that.
