And also, it was because of the tension being broken. It's like a gun is being pointed at your head and the person is about to kill you after beating the crap out of you, and he just stops and cheerfully says, "WELCOME, WELCOME, WELCOME TO PAIN FACTOR!" You never explained who Florian was. I guessed he was the kid who gave me the Legendary Beasts once upon a time against Kurai, but you need to edit an introduction for him in, and explain how Kea and other people knew who he was :/ But aside from that, I liked it and am looking forward to chapter 10.
