Chaos Pudding
Bans:Rescue Cat: GOOD: I don't really see any people seriously arguing against this one. It's a broken card, plain and simple. Should have been banned a few lists ago.Heavy Storm: GOOD/UGLY(?): Don't get me wrong, Storm is a broken card and if we were to just look at the card itself it's plain as day that it should be banned. It's just that the formats of the past, Storm has acted as a sort of buffer against things like "set 5, go". Now, with the Unlimiting of Black Rose Dragon, this might not be a problem. Time will tell.Brain Control: GOOD: Finally! Took them long enough. It's been banworthy ever since Synchros were released, and maybe even a bit before.Substitoad: GOOD: Frogs as a theme might not have gotten off the ground until Ronintoad, but Substitoad is the whole reason they work at all. Certainly banworthy. Limits:Black Whirlwind: GOOD: Pretty much the only Blackwing card that needs to get hit. If they went one step further and banned the damn thing, they could have unlimited Gale.Royal Oppression: BAD: Seriously? Anti-meta never should deserve to have list attention, especially something that, quite simply, isn't broken. A reactionary deck relies on the broken cards that they're reacting against, not the other way around.Infernity Launcher: GOOD: Again, should have gone a step farther. Other than that, excellent choice.Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier: GOOD: See Infernity Launcher. I'm guess they're gonna release Trishula in some form or another soon, so Konami didn't want to outright ban it until they got their sales in.Monster Reborn: BAD: Ew, costless generic revival. Horrible card for the game.Dark Hole: BAD/UGLY: Seriously, Konami? Generic mass monster removal that fits in ANY DECK? This is not gonna end well, me thinks. Semi-Limits:Mystical Space Typhoon: GOOD: One step closer to it's proper place. Honestly, out of all the movements on the list, this was the one I was least expecting. Good job, Konami.Chaos Sorcerer: BADISH: I think that this card, in an ideal environment, would be banned, but in the environment that we're in right now, it's really not doing anything bad. So yeah, go ahead.Snipe Hunter: BADISH: See Chaos Sorcerer.Ojama Trio: GOOD: I love me some Ojama Trio. Let's get it to 3 so we can have some real fun! But honestly, it being Limited really didn't make much sense in this day and age.Magic Cylinder: GOOD: Put it to 3, and you still won't see any reasonable usage of this card. Unlimits:Black Rose Dragon: GOOD/BAD: Should be banned in an ideal format, but in a format without enough mass S/T removal to go around, it at 3 is a logical choice.Goblin Zombie: GOOD: Should have never been whatever it was before. Semi-Limited, was it?Cyber Dragon: BAD: Awesome. Now we're probably gonna have ANOTHER format defined by Cyber Dragon abuse.Treeborn Frog: GOOD/BAD: It's broken. Just not broken enough for this format. I'm really not that excited about this one.Royal Decree: GOOD: Unlimited is where it belongs.United We Stand: BAD: Lets you OTK pretty much out of nowhere. Now with MST being at 2, it might be less likely, but it's still not what I would have done. So there you have it, a vet's perspective on the Sept Ban List. .Nu-13
I couldn't put it better. IMO, this format will be funny as hell I couldn't put it better. IMO, this format will be funny as hell
Canadian
Many of you may disagree, but Ojama Trio should have stayed @1. Being @2, it's so much more consistant in using any of the OTKs with All-Out-Attacks.
byak
Banning Storm was a terrible idea.
Master Hyperion
Royal Oppression: BAD: Seriously? Anti-meta never should deserve to have list attention, especially something that, quite simply, isn't broken. A reactionary deck relies on the broken cards that they're reacting against, not the other way around. Royal Opression is one of the popular side deck choice of any meta deck in the March 2010 format. Royal Opression ruined the game more than balances the game out. I agree with the rest of your perspective
.Gideon.
Banned: Rescue Cat Of course, although my dandycat deck is ruined nowHeavy Storm Time for the "summon, set 5, end" scenario. Can't tell if this move was good or not right now Brain Control FINALLY Substitoad DIE frAGS ! Limited: Black Whirlwind DIE BLACKWINGZ ! Royal Oppression with solemn warning coming, this will be ok Infernity Launcher they must'v either B& this, or limit it along with Archfiend. But still a good step Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier ok Monster Reborn no Konami,no. Dark Hole at first I was totally against this, but now I think it might be good, seeing how decks are swarming like hell. Well, again I can't tell if this is good or nt right now Semi:Mystical Space Typhoon 2 mst, 3 Dust is worse than 1 heavy in my opinion Chaos Sorcerer me liek :3 Snipe Hunter ok Ojama Trio no Magic Cylinder burn Unlimited: Black Rose Dragon F***n stupid ! Goblin Zombie save the zombies ! Cyber Dragon so sweet, but so bad for the game Treeborn Frog 2 or 3, no difference Royal Decree I can see why United We Stand bad, so bad Craziest list ever madebut will be fun :D
Mr. Judgment Dragon
Many of you may disagree, but Ojama Trio should have stayed @1. Being @2, it's so much more consistant in using any of the OTKs with All-Out-Attacks. All-Out Attacks and the like should be banned anyway but it's not like it'll matter next format anyway. Anyway, I think your perspective on these ban list changes is quite accurate.
wiithepeople
I'm quite glad that Cyber and Decree r @3. The Inca deck just might be used more commonly thanks to Konami.
Toffee.
Konami has a destroyed format. The reasons behind it make absolutely no seance.
Bull3tM0nk3y
Gentlemen... I see that the ban list is safe? *nods heads* Tell me... did any one happen to kill 100's of decks on the over here? Yes? Then we still have a problem... HaouJudai
Everyone run 3 copies of Starlight Road now.The backwards list requires it.ahhhh someone with some insight - I agree with the original post's narrative wholeheartedly. This list will pull those old dusty starlight road tins off the dept. store shelves and move konami's stagnant tin product. Everyone should definitely main deck 3 starlight roads. I need stardust dragons to super poly into Dragon Knight Draco. @ banlist - lolNami does it again - Konami = Eugene Krabs / Profit > Game. They are slipping towards UDE's price gouging ways. Not touching X Sabers. Forcing use of starlight road. Sales of shining darkness to find Darksouls and DREV to get POD are going to be through the roof. Right now if you buy a box of DREV and pull a single pot of duality and sell it you can pay for your box plus more. The format looks explosive and fun - but that will get old quickly - lolz when you're doing the otk - FUUUUUUUUUU when it's being done to you

Idk. woaa. If you don't agree with this why don't you make a banlist subforum? Unless you want a flooded main forum.
