Freya, Spirit of Victory

Recommended Posts

So I used the search function... and it revealed that there never was a thread about this card!

While you control a Fairy-Type monster(s) other than "Freya, Spirit of Victory", this card cannot be selected as an attack target. All Fairy-Type monsters you control gain 400 ATK and DEF.

Discuss one of my favourite cards in the game :)
Any uses besides Court of Justice?

This card has the grossest misuse of a Norse God's name of all of the cards which use them. I really hope they didn't intend for this to be the Goddess Freya.

On topic of the card's effect: There's not much to it. I guess the best way to use it is with a giant Fairy, especially one that's hard to bring down with card effects. That way she'll never get attacked. However, she's not all that grand of a card.

Hilarious that Odin is a Fairy-Type

Fairies are badass. Think Master Hyperion, who looks like he's going to burn to ashes with a ball of fire. Or Archlord Zerato with that big sword.

OT: Terrible, next?

"Fre" and "ya" are battle cries in Japan. "Fre" is something like "Win", and "ya" is something like "HYAAAAAAAAAA". It might include the Norse thing a bit too, but I think it's not coincidence its name is made up of two words.

Her face could have been better in my opinion. The eyes could be a bit wider and more twinkly.

Also, I don't get why it's so rare.
