Maxx "C"

Recommended Posts

I would think in the event this card is used, its going to mean that the activator believes the opponent is going for a OTK (due to a high amount of Special Summons) and that they have some belief that they wont be OTK'd, meaning they would have something to stop it, so it would either go down with:

A: The opponent will try and destroy your safety nets before doing any rash special summon, ensuring the OTK will go through, and if not, will probably not attempt the OTK that turn so that you do not draw a massive hand.

B: The opponent will continue to Special Summon, in the event that they believe their OTK will go through successfully, though a combination of Effects and/or Counter Traps ready to counter the activator of Maxx "C"'s own traps.

I personally don't think its too great.

Edit: I hate how B = B)

I notice they're quite fond of quick effects from the hand lately.....hmmmm, honestly not entirely sure what I think of this to be honest.

Though any good player will just stop as soon as this is dropped.

I'm not exactly a rulings expert but could this be discarded in response to an effect that special summons for at least one free draw?

If only Debris was DARK for Underground Arachne ;_;

Precisely.

Very fun card, looks like a side staple to me.

It's bad, either your opponent will stop Special Summoning for one turn and make big plays on the next turn, or just carry on OTKing you without a problem. YCM needs to stop being bad. The Exodia thing aint ever gonna happen, and the only thing it really helps for is prehaps drawing enough to draw into a Battle Fader, but even then, it won't happen often and people will just not care about it. Nobody will ever run it, just watch.

Blackwings don't otk
Glads don't otk.

This is not an otk format, this is thoroughly abusable.

It's probably not going to be blindly mained but it will see side deck usage at the very least, it's far from a bad card, it's just a card that's dependent on your opponent and those are typically not stable enough to be mained. It really seems like how useful this is depends largely on your opponent's mindset: Are they more likely to stop in their special summoning with caution or are they likely to be confident enough to continue with their set-up? This is largely a mindgame card for your opponent and how they see it will change how effective one finds it in the long run.

And as others have said, this is not an OTK format.

Hey, do Ojama Trio tokens count for this? Then you could use this, then Ojama Trio and draw three.
If monsters are Special Summoned simultaneously, you'll only draw 1. Also, you're considered the player who Special Summoned the Ojama Tokens, because Ojama Trio is your card.

It's going to end up being worth as much as Cactus Bouncer.

No, because YOU are Special Summoning the Ojama Tokens, not the Opponent. Also, You draw a card each time your opponent Special Summons, not for each monster Special Summoned, so that would only count as 1, not 3.
