Thousand Eyes Restrict

As long as this card remains face-up on the field, other monsters cannot change their battle positions or attack. Select 1 monster on your opponent's side of the field, and equip it to this card (this effect can only be used once per turn, and you can only equip 1 monster at a time to this card). The ATK and DEF of this card become the same amounts as the monster equipped to this card. If this card is destroyed as a result of battle, the equipped monster is destroyed instead.


If it weren't for Instant Fusion, do you think this card could come back?

Instant Fusion makes this card even more broke. Before Instant Fusion, it was Metamorphosis.

This card almost singlehandedly locks down the game. Setting monsters means nothing because you can't change Battle Positions, and no other monsters can attack. Having Relinquished's monster stealing and protection is just icing. This card is almost worse than Level Limit and Gravity Bind in terms of stalling.

Do we even WANT this back?

Woot.

Abusable isn't quite the word. Relinquished is more abusable than this, personally, partly because its ability to spare itself in exchange for the equipped monster means more when other monsters can attack, plus Relinquished inflicts the same amount of Battle Damage.

The problem with Restrict is...as its name implies, it has a thousand eyes.

OT:
Would be perfectly balanced if Instant Fusion was @0. But I would rather have Instant Fusion @3 and this @0 tbh.
