The people predicting a mechanic where Xyz monsters are Overlaid weren't wrong. Let's see... Needs a specific Xyz + 2 Level 4s. Okay...that's a pain. Can only be Special Summoned when your LP is 1000 or less? Okay, that's BS, and the RL equivalent will probably be 2000, but still. If your LP is that low, you should hardly be able to bring out Number 39 and 2 additional Level 4s without losing. And even if you did manage this, you're hardly going to WANT to drop this. By removing a Material, this gains 500 ATK and another monster loses 1000. Since it doesn't say End Phase, it's permanent. This is actually kind of cool, but it'll get nerfed in RL. [/quote] We could only Hope Xyz monsters work that way *shot* My guess would have to be that Xyz monsters would lose their material when overlaid. White Void Posted August 8, 2011 Report Share Posted August 8, 2011 I just watched the episode, Yuma didn't overlay anything with Hope to create Hope Ray. It looks like the condition might be Hope still having 2 of its Xyz Material + 1000 or less lifepoints instead of Hope + 2 other level 4s. The effect is alright, the summoning condition is ridiculous however.
