Aix
I was looking through Dueling Network when I see dis guy. If you bring him out at full power, he's like invincible!!! What do you think of him? Haze Beasts don't have many cards yet but I really wanna use them when more of them are released. It'll be fun trying to pull off making an invincible boss, dontcha think? Just bring him out and use those cards! And you can bring him back with Xyz Reborn!!! DISCUSS!!!

Sora1499
I can't help but chuckle at its name... Basilicok. Teehee. All immature jokes aside, card is freaking amazing in Haze Beasts. Even thought I rarely summon it with more than 3 materials, it's still one helluva power card. One time, I was playing Chaos Dragons and he gold sarc'd a BLS, so I had to win or else he would ultra-sack me. So I summoned 2 of these, plucked 2 cards off the field with their effects, overlayed into gaia, and won game because he had only 4500 LP and a face-down spirit reaper. And the funniest thing was that he dropped Maxx C and had like the most broken hand ever at the end of the turn. LOL.

Darj
Playing against a friend who was testing Haze-Beasts, I defeated his 4-material Basillisk with Gaia Plate; we both agreed that Gaia Plate's halving effect was not targetting it, but I am not sure if that's the case. In the same tests, I realized how Ptolemys can be a better Boss in Haze-Beasts than their own Bassillisk. I wonder why Konami chose the Bassilisk for the Boss of Haze-Beasts when there are more threathening (or with a less ridiculous appearance) mythical beasts. For instance, the mythical Salamander might have been a better choice considering that it is associated with fire. And a Reptile-Type Boss would have been awesome. Blake
In the same tests, I realized how Ptolemys can be a better Boss in Haze-Beasts than their own Bassillisk.
No it isn't. Basilicok completely gets rid of their combo pieces, more often than not. At that, the deck doesn't need to return anything in the grave to the hand, outside of using Haze-Glory. Ptolemys is almost completely outclassed in the deck by Basilicok. It gunks up later Gryps plays for an effect close enough to Basilicok for no good reason. The deck only needs Basilicock and Strike Bounzer, in my testing. You shouldn't be focusing on giving Basilicock a ton of materials, you should be using it to ruin plays. Using the 4+ material effects is like using Quasar, more often than not: overkill that's not even a guaranteed game winner. Even from Rekindling, you tend to want to maintain the advantage of multiple Xyz. This card is the absolute nuts.
Sora1499
@Reborn Ptolemys -> Reusing Peryton But Basilisk is definitely a more imposing card to have on the field than Ptolemys 90% of the time. Ptolemys is good if you want to abuse Peryton, but basilisk is more reliable.

I guess he simply preferred to Summon Ptolemys over the Bassilisk. Actually, either would have had the same effect as he used Ptolemys to bounce my Synchros/Xyz; he could have banished them with Bassilicok, as I had no cards to recover banished monsters.
