The actual most broken card ever: Chaos Emperor Dragon

Recommended Posts

This card has what I call Brio syndrome: its artwork is amazing, but sadly, it's extremely broken and sacky, and so will probably always have an acquaintanceship with the banlist.

Just look at that sexy art! Unfortunately, It will probably always be banned even if the game picks up to super brokenness. Anyways, discuss.

How many of these 'no, this is the most broken card ever' threads are there gonna be?

What's there to discuss? Monster is too strong for your pathetic Lagia and Hornet and luckily for them they will never have to face its devastating wrath, as its coming off the banlist would be a sign of the apocalypse and the total destruction it represents.

BREAKING NEWS: It has been confirmed today, the 21st of December 2012, that Konami has announced that one of YuGiOh's original powerhouse cards - Chaos Emporer Dragon - is to end its long spell on the banlist and return to players decks...

*....ominous rumble....*

I think Konami can be forgiven for this card's existence. I mean, back when it was made, Konami didn't have much of a development in the competitive field. The basic idea was not that broken cards shall not exist, but rather, to give casual fans of the game, the emotion of having something incredibly rare and powerful.
Don Zaloog and Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer were beaters in the last world championship's winning deck prior to this card's release, for real. You can see what the game level was.

Buuuut they really over did it, and this should never come out of the banlist, unless Konami gives us twice as much Life, a generic Stardust for non-destruction card removal effects, and boosts the ATK standards even more.... it'll be a sad day.

The day this comes off the banlist is the day that the employee responsible for the decision of unbanning this card gets fired.

Just fired? He would have to be executed in front of Yu-Gi-Oh players worldwide and have his head as a trophy for that year's YCS.

CED has been back for years, guys.

There's also Norleras (among other things), but Grandora gets the picture because it looks more like CED than Norleras does.

OT: When I found out I could run a single banned card in TF5 (at the cost of everyone else ignoring the banlist better than me), I was disappointed when I found out that CED kills himself with his own effect. But of course, that would have made it even more borqued. Even banned cards need to be read word for word. :/

Guys, I just realized something. Think about CED in chaos dragons... Ohgodno.jpeg

In all the One Forbidden Card tourneys I've been in or spectated, CED did nothing for Chaos Dragons. The times it was summoned, it was nothing but a beatstick. That said:
