Zazubat
The hell were they thinking? I mean, even at the time, this card was just mindblowing out of the park stupid design. MSoF had an actual pretty nice idea towards it for the time, but it should not have a horribly broken and badly designed Spell to keep it alive. Sigh. Dementuo
They purposely brought it in banned for a reason.
Sora1499
The other effect, being an easy Makyura, ain't half bad either. However, it is the second effect that is truly bananas.
Blake
... Please tell me some of you guys don't really think the second effect is the hideously broken part
Dementuo
I remember playing Traditional Dark Worlds and Chain Burn (separately). Card was truly absolutely nuts, and let me essentially win turn 1.

L0SS
This card, it's terri-bad. Who thought it was a good idea to activate traps during your turn, and then pull a monster from practically anywhere? Sure, Special Summon from your Extra Deck; because, you know, that's fine. Treat your traps like spells? Go for it! I hope it stays dead forever.
Alpakha
The other effect, being an easy Makyura, ain't half bad either. However, it is the second effect that is truly bananas. What? The first effect is cray broken. The second effect is more gimmicky and fun than broke.
evilfusion
MSoF? I'm not sure what that stands for, though context implies Mystical Beast of Serket, but the acronym doesn't fit. The problem was that a lot of Trap draw power was balanced by being Trap Cards, like Jar of Greed and even Reckless Greed. This card laughed as such naive thoughts, the same way as Makyura. Without Trap draw cards, the ability to use Traps the turn you Set them wouldn't be QUITE as bad. It still would be terrible for the game, to use Counter Traps and the like the turn you Set them, but it wouldn't have infinite draw potential. The fact Serket relies on this to live completely ruined Serket's potential, much like how Butterfly Dagger prevents Elma from being played (although Serket would have at least been more fun), and the 2nd effect of Temple was amusing and gave Serket even more fun stuff, even if said stuff is broken the same way Metamorphosis and Cyber-Stein is. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Which is the faster way to set off EotS FTK: Makyura or this? Maykura is easier to use because it can be dropped with Painful Choice or Foolish Burial, plus it's discard fodder for Graceful Charity.

newhat
Good stuff. Exchange of the Spirit is pretty broken too; it's a 2-card FTK with this or Makyura as long as you've dug through enough of your Deck.
Captain Murphy ☆
I really loved Serket considering I had ran a slightly altered Marik deck for the longest, but I'll admit, Cathedral of Nobles is crazy... What is the name of that machine card that is just like Mystical Beast Serket though? It slipped my mind.

You may be thinking of Emes the Infinity, a Level 7 2500 Machine that gained 700 ATK when it destroyed monsters. But the real Serket imitator is Millennium Scorpion, a 2000 ATK Level 5/6 that gained 500 when it killed monsters. Thank you for the idea.
Zazubat
Still sad that a pretty powerful Level 6 with a neat effect couldn't survive. Maybe I should make it a CC without the stupid requirement.
