YCM's Fourth Election!


How it works:

Step 1: TCGers and non-TCGers who get linked/happen to stop by and see this topic will PM me (Hatcher! <3) and rank everyone they've ever met ever on YCM as to who they think should be the new moderator of the TCG section.

Start with your number one choice of who you think should be TCG mod and put that as first. Second choice is second. Keep going until you get ten trillion people, or until you just feel like stopping. IDC.

There is no official form or anything dumb like that, just make it super fucking obvious what you're doing.

Step 2: Billie learns math! In your ballot, the top person you choose gets 1 point. Second person gets half a point, third person gets 1/3, fourth person gets 1/4th, and so on and so on. It's entirely possible that someone who consistently gets second could become moderator if everyone's first place person keeps fluctuating.

Step 3: Billie takes the top, IDK, 5 people or something and we do step 1 again. However, you're allowed to stop whenever you want. If you just wanna add +1 point to one guy and don't wanna give someone a half, a third, a fourth and a fifth, you can just submit it that way.

SUPER SPECIAL SECRET BONUS VOTE:

You're allowed to name one (and only one) person who you, under absolutely no circumstances want to ever ever ever be moderator ever. I assume it's unlikely to really influence anything, but if it does it may be taken in to consideration.


Step 1: Starting... right now! Ends May 25th, 26th, 27-ish. No votes past The 28th, please.

Step 2: I'll do the math on my own for like, a day or two, dress them up in pretty charts, and when ever that's done, we'll begin step 3.

Step 3: When Step 2 is done until June something. Early June. We'll figure it out once the first two steps are done and out of the way.


Hurr, I'm confused!

Step 1 is all you have to worry about right now. Just PM me a list of your top 100 people you want to be mod of the TCG section.

Hurr, I'm still confused!

Then we're probably better off ignoring your vote anyway.

I was under the impression that this section had more mods =0

Well, it's not overly active, I sometimes come even a couple days later to find most of the previous topics still in the front page. 

Not to mention many mods hang around this section (Legend Zero, Black, Kokonoe, Mugendramon, Evilfusion,...)

... well, I guess "hanging around" is not quite the same as being in business hours but, is it really that necessary? unless you are gonna leave for a while or something.

 

 

Hmm out of the active people more suitable, admired, etc... I'll have to think about it more carefully.

I really don't care if you vote for yourself. If you really well and truly sincerely think you're the shining beacon of hope that will usher in a thousand years of peace and tranquility to YCM, then odds are likely that a majority of the board thinks that way too.

Alternatively if everyone is just "Me me me me me!" and votes for themselves, it's still balances itself out because everyone gets one point and the ones that suck will get only one point in all and it'll be decided by half votes for the second person.

 

Jokes aside, is this in preparation for you stepping down? D:

No it's just me. I just keep my section so excellent that everyone flocks to it. [/conceited]

Yeah, but a lot of the topics have multiple replies to them, and continue to be active discussions. Sure, Created Cards has a tons of topics posted, but a huge majority of them are zero-post topics.

You're free to abstain from voting.

 

As in feeling that the section doesn't need another moderator.


This section currently has one, and in not-so-long will have zero.


If you meant to say: "I want Koko, evilfusion, Legend Zero, Black and all the other random mods who pop in to mod this section by committee" I'm gonna have to decline that offer.

No, but that's not the point.

 

I really do think that one of the current mods (we have quite a few active ones) should take up this section as well.  Perhaps evilfusion?  He's probably the one mod I respect the most on the site, and he's more than capable of handling things, from what I've seen.

Have you seen the Leaving/Return thread? Pika intends of leaving in the forseeable future.

It's hard to put people in this sort of hyerarchy stuff, so I had to go heads or tails in some parts to not feel bad about it.

First, if a mod is willing to take the seat, it'll all be fine by me, so I'm just gonna name existing mods first:

1) Koko

2) Legend Zero

3) Evilfusion

4) Black

5) Mugendramon

If not, well...:

6) Dementuo

7) Sora

8 )Armadilloz

9) Darkwolf777

10) Ambrosia

11) Canadian

12) British Soul

 

Evation list:

E) Doopertrooper

 

 

If this is called off from lack of voters, it can't be helped. I am of the opinion that existing mods should suffice.

Anyone in the list that doesn't want the spot can tell me so I can drop those parts of the list and move the numbers.

 

 

 

EDIT:
Instead of putting everyone I know the existence of in the section, past the dozen it doesn't really matter.

Just FYI, I'm not actually a TCG mod. I'm the Your Deck mod. I just frequent TCG and handle minor issues if I get to them before Pika does.
