The only generic Level 3 Synchro and its effect is absolutely wonderful. I adore this bird with almost all my heart. <3

Synchros are irrelevant. However, this one is very good, being a Paladynamo in a Synchro. Unfortunately, you don't get to cantrip when he dies and he isn't LIGHT. It is an Icarus Attack target though. I much perfer negation that works on my opponent's turn over something like this. The big problem is no good deck can summon this consistently right now, the card is solid but nothing can make it.

I saw someone win a Junk Doppel Mirror by making this, using it's effect on Quasar, then running over it with Forumla Synchron. Which was utterly hilarious.

 

But yeah it's surprisingly amazing.

Which is why it's teched for the mirror. But against everything that isn't Dragon Ruler or Prophecy it's pretty shit. And I'm still dumbfounded at ways to find a way to actually make this card efficiently that doesn't involve Dandylion/Scapegoat and Spore.

Well I apologize, I appear to be mistaken. I still wouldn't call one tournement win a relevant deck, to be honest. Anyway, back on topic. I suppose you could make it with Formula + Kinka-Byo or something silly like that.

In all seriousness, it is an amazing card. The fact that the most abusive decks won't really make it address this as support for decks that actually need it, which is another plus.

When I first saw this thing, I misread it and thought it was a quick effect. I think I jizzed my pants then. When I saw it was ignition, I was slightly disappointed, but this effect is nothing to sneeze at.

Except Level 8 Synchros are equally as important as Rank 7s in Dragon Rulers

Playing 3 Effect Veiler and Flamvell Guard/Corsesca only reinforces this

The two most important Level 8s right now are Stardust Radiance and Crimson Blader, and mirror matches are literally decided because of Crimson Blader

Stardust Dragon and Scrap Dragon are cool too, but aren't as necessary

Colossal Fighter also sees play as it's essentially a counter to Crimson Blader in the mirror

Obviously Horse Prince is pretty important in this format as well for the decks it's played in

There's also the fact that Dragunities have potential to be among the top decks due to its extreme consistency, and of course they rely on Synchros as well
