LIGHT/Level 2

1000/0

Dragon/Tuner

Normal Monster

Your hopes and dreams will be refreshed if you catch a glimpse of this rare creature in the evening twilight, soaring in the Sea of Stars.

ATK looks like confirmed to be 1000 to me but who knows.

Kaito gonna Synchro Summon?

Interesting. It's a Normal monster with 0 DEF for all those card applications that care about 0 DEF Normal monsters. It's also a Tuner. It inexplicably has Galaxy support because...everyone totally wanted a Tuner that has Galaxy support but doesn't do anything other than being a Tuner.

I've got nothing.

>It's a Box of Friends target

Nice.

It may be a Box of Friends target, but Box of Friends also blocks Synchro Summoning.

I don't even get why Konami are making this thing the sneak peek card... ergh.

I hate konami for printing this thing as a Galaxy.

I don't like that it's a Galaxy card either.

I feel like JOTL's cover card should've been something different, like Susano'o.  Ray Victory doesn't really have the "Light" feel about him, he looks silvery.

Cover cards are normally anime, or anime related.

Victory kinda fitted the bill better than anything else from the anime. Unless you went for irony with Umbralis.

The whole thing with "Victory"/"V" was kind of a mess.

It was, I remember people saying that Victory/V was the same card. I even had to prove to some people at my locals thay they were 2 different cards.

I remembered afterwards and felt stupid. >.<

Don't worry, it happens sometimes.

I remember thinking that when Victory was first announced for the TCG, which was before Victory had appeared in the anime or OCG, and V wasn't in the TCG yet. The fact the anime did eventually reveal C39-Victory cleared that up.

I liked the V/Victory thing, even if it was a really bad symbolism of it.

Though that lost a lot of it's symbolism in the TCG given it's Barian and not Varian.

Also, I am the only person who thinks this looks closer to Blue-Eyes than Galaxy-Eyes? Since it's presumably going to be a baby version of GEPD, which suggests that this may be a link between the two.

Beyond them being the main rivals ace with similar naming patterns, upgrades and stuff.

A lot of people I know thought that as well. For example when the Starter Deck came out, a couple of them thought that V was Victory and was gonna be in JOTL as well. (It was a good thing I had the internet on me at the time).

One way they could've cleared up the confusion was to say that Victory was a different card to V upon announcement.

With all the specific Level focus on decks thanks to the Xyz mechanic being a thing, a different Level group is barely different from something like a Type or Attribute group, so why make some specifically weaker?

That and how it's a Normal Monster to begin with, make me think it's not too out there if it was 1800 ATK, although it sounds like pushing it, so they  might go for 1600 instead, if it even has good stats because being a Tuner is kind of it's main appeal.
