Toffee.
When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon 1 EARTH monster with 1500 or less ATK from your Deck, in face-up Attack Position. I always liked this card. It has a lot of neat targets going for it, as well as having an Attribute that makes sense for it's Type, when compared to the other 5 searchers(Shining Angel doesn't have Chain Dog/Redox/Grandsoil/Horn/etc, shoosh).Plus, EARTHs in general tend to have a lot of toolbox shenanigans, so it's always nice when a supporting card truly feels like it belongs to multiple things of it's own kind....Just wish player interaction was more of a thing, but ehh, what can you do.Oh, and unlike the other 5, this one's 1450 DEF lets it wall the others.Discuss. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
I played a ratbox deck for a very long time, and i loved it. It's too bad that everything just ended up killing me with effects rather than by battle. Corn decks are still awesome, and Hyper Hammerhead is OP! Shradow
If I didn't run Solidarity and Rivalry of Warlords in my Ancient Gear Deck, I might run this, because Engineer.
Therrion
Really nice counter to Judgment Dragon. Probably the only card keeping Lightsworns in check this format.
heraldry_lord
Really nice counter to Judgment Dragon. Probably the only card keeping Lightsworns in check this format. Pardon my ignorance, but how does this counter Judgment Dragon?
Therrion
Because when Judgment Dragon attacks it, it can search a monster. Duh. OTK Stoppah.

Sleepy
Lots of great applications. -Dream Clown because it'll be able to do it's thing when your turn arrives. Plus it's a Crane Crane target. -Wind-up Kitten for a 1 time troll. -Shield Warrior/Colossal Head for next future setup of despair. -Hyper Hammerhead/Heraldic Beast Basilisk for your destruction and bounce uses. -Injection Fairy Lily for a quick beatstick. -Amazoness Sage for S/T hate. -D.D. Crazy Beast for a tactical change -Golem Sentri (because you'll do it next turn) which in turn works with Inverse Universe. -Scrap Searcher (because it becomes Raigeki if you use Give and Take on it.) -D.D. Warrior -Exiled Force -Iron Chain Snake is lulzy but hard to use well. Works fine with Horn of the Phantom Beast. Tech Soul Rope to make up for it's weakness. That's what all true Duelists strive for mah boy. That's a pretty fun level of playing.

Stun decks were much easier to justify back in the day.
TheTurtleOnceCalledGod
Tbh, they should remake this, same stats, type, attribute, and effect, only include card effect destruction.

Those must have been the days. D.D. Crazy Beast is one of my all time favorite monsters. It'd be awesome if Konami made it Ultra Rare and a Structured Deck of it. Or if it was an Ultra/Secret at Joey's World.... whenever that's supposed to come out.
Lonk
The joke. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | \/ Your head. I don't like the joke. OT: I generally and absolutely LOVE Giant Rat-based searchers. They are great design in terms of being enjoyable to use and have many different uses. That's why I absolutely adore Pyramid Turtle in my Vampire Deck. Also, Giant Rat is neat.
Daigusto Sphreez
Rat searches out every single Super Defense Robot, which although a small archetype, is surprisingly potent given how ridiculously good Googly Eyes Drum Dragon/Garbage Eyes Fat Dragon is. Airride
THE most versatile of the searchers, and a lot of its better targets don't even mind the fact that they're in attack position when summoned. Still a very cool card.
ÆƵ–
I like this card because it was one of the ways I could get out Enraged Muka Muka without having to tribute when I ran my hand power deck.
Sleepy
Pro-move: Opponent attacks with first monster, revealing your Giant Rat. Rat searches for Giant Rat, opponent attacks with second monster. You search for your third Giant Rat. Opponent attacks with next monster expecting you to search your actual target now, you flip up your Horn of the Phantom Beast(s). Not game-breaking, but worth the laugh.
